You packed your bag in a rush. Clothes, toothbrush, sneakers..
Mary knocked on your door. "Hey missy-moo. Want some help?"
"No thanks Mary. I think I'm almost done."
"Well don't think you're getting away without me fixing that hair! Wouldn't want the Dukes to think poorly of us."
You giggled and sat down in front of the bathroom mirror, while Mary threw your hair into a ponytail. She tied it with a red ribbon, and looked at you proudly. "Promise me, you'll be careful tonight? And be respectful of the Dukes. Don't give them a hard time, say your please and thank you's, n' don't stay up too late!"
"I won't!! Promise!"
You might've had your first sleepover earlier, but Mary thought the appropriate age was 7. You'd also never been to the Duke farm before. Within the 2 years you'd known Daisy, you'd only ever had playdates at places like the park, the pond, etc. And tonight, you'd be meeting her cousins Bo and Luke for the first time!
Your conversation was interrupted by a knock at the door. "That must be them!" Mary said and you practically slid down the hall, backpack in hand. "Uncle Jesse!" you squealed as you threw open the door. "How's my girl?" he beamed, giving you a pat as you hugged him.
When you'd first met Jesse at the age of 5, it was for a playdate at the town square. You were confused about why Daisy called him Uncle Jesse but you couldn't. So, for that reason, you became the only other little girl in Hazzard who had permission to call him "Uncle Jesse".
Saying your goodbyes, you hopped excitedly into Jesse's white truck. Jesse made sure you were buckled up, and the two of you drove the dirt roads for around 10 minutes. Soon enough, you pulled into the front lawn of a humble looking farmhouse. (At this time, the General Lee (Orange) and the Dixie (White Jeep) were not yet owned by the Dukes.)

Daisy swung open the door as soon as you got there. "Jamie Lynn!!" She squealed and ran out to hug you. "I'm so essited!" Daisy couldn't pronounce some words properly, as she'd just lost her two front teeth.
"Me toooooo!!!" you beamed. You picked up your backpack and Daisy took you inside, giving you a grand tour of the place. She even introduced you to all the animals!
"Oh wait!" Daisy stopped in her tracks. "You gotta meet Bo n' Luke! BOYYYYYYYYS!!!!"
There was a couple thumping noises outside, then two boys hopped through the front entrance. "What now??" the brown haired boy said, clearly annoyed. "Yeah Daisy, we gotta feed the hens." said the blonde one.
"Boys, meet Jamie Lynn. My bestfriend??" she looks at them, waiting for a response.
"Ohhhh that Jamie-Lynn! Hi, I'm Luke." the brown haired boy stepped forward and shook your hand. You gave a shy smile, and an even shier one when the blonde boy shook your hand. "And I'm Bo. Nice to meet ya Lynn-Jamie!" he grinned.
"It's Jamie-Lynn." you corrected. "Uh huh. C'mon Luke, the chicks ain't gon' feed themselves!" And with that, the two boys were gone, and you and Daisy went on with your sleepover.
