Blair was a... Unique baby.

Well as unique as you can get when you can run faster than light at 4 years old.

But that doesn't come as a surprise when your father is the Flash.

The only difference between them was Blair's odd, but strong connection to the speedforce. She has had it coursing through her since the day she was born, coming out of her mother's womb mid-phase

Jay Garrick, her father and the Flash, felt overwhelmed. How do you raise a kid that is so hyper she literally bounces off the walls?

For a while the family couldn't be filled with more joy, but things change.

"Daddy, don't go!" Blair whined as she saw the crime alert go off. "It's movie night! We're going to watch Beetle Juice."

Jay smiled warmly at his daughter before kissing her forehead. "I'll be back just in time for the movie." He reassured her and moved towards his wife.

"I love you." He told her, pressing a light kiss against her lips before zooming out of the house.

"Barry." The nickname her strolled off her mothers lips. "Wanna watch it with me?" A bright smile spread across Blair's face. "Yay!" She zoomed into the TV room, making her mother sigh.

"No running in the house!"

..............

The telephone rang, waking the two sleeping forms on the sofa.

Joan jumped at the noise, looking at her surroundings in confusion. Her daughter stirred on her lap making Joan freeze. She couldn't handle a cranky speedster.

The phone continued to ring loudly. "Alright, alright." Joan whisper yelled at the house phone trying to slide Blair off her lap.

After gently setting Blair's head onto the sofa, Joan grabbed the phone holding it up to her ear.

"Garrick residence." She sighed. "Jay's gone." Joan's face fell. "What?" She asked, confused. "ISA-killed-trap." Those weren't the exact words, but those were the only words Joan heard before she fell to her knees.

The noise caused Blair to stir, her eyes fluttering open. The first thing Blair saw was her mother on the ground, clutching her hands to her chest as a heart wrenching sob slipped out of her mouth.

Blair's heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Mommy?" Her high pitched voice was laced full of concern. Joan gasped in surprise at her daughter's small voice and quickly wiped her tears.

"C-care Bare." Joan stuttered opening up her arms. "Come here sweetie." Not having full control of her powers, Blair crashed into her mother's arms making Joan lose balance.

"What's wrong mommy?" Blair clinged to her mother in a tight embrace. Joan was at loss of words. How was she going to tell her? How was she to let her know her father is gone? Her role model.

Joan sucked in a deep breath and pulled away from the embrace, she held Blair's shoulder, teary-eyed, but a small smile present on her face.

"Daddy's gone."
