"boss?" the messager taeri hesitantly called out to their leader who was busy drinking wine as per usual.

"bringing good news?" they raised an eyebrow uninterested.

the greasy man scratched his head "unfortunately not, we have a problem."

their jaw tensed "what is it."

"we have a problem with the tech." he said. "the transporters recently created aren't fully functioning. none of them matches to the original."

"are you telling me, there are blueprints but i still don't have what i want?" the boss' grip on their wine glass tightened. "what is so hard!"

he violently flinched as soon they raised their voice "well they said it was hard to create when half of the instructions were lost."

"you dare to complain! these ungrateful rats. they've never experienced half the pain i went through just to retrieve these!" their voice boomed through the cold dark room, crushing the object in their hand as wine and glass spilt everywhere "not my wine! that one was my favourite!"

"so what should we do now boss."

the servants came running to the leader, cleaning up the mess. "luckily for them, i already started my plan."

"what's that?"

"oh nothing, just a little someone to keep an eye on the original. they've been undercover for long enough." the boss smirked proudly

the realization hit taeri "you sent them boss? but they're just a kid."

"not just a kid, someone i've trained for years. no one will ever suspect a thing, especially with a cute face like theirs." they said with a parent like smile on their face.

"so now what?"

"they're going to seize the day, that's what."

for the past few weeks, the two had been working on their project in the sweet chaos cafe until a lanky blonde worker named jae had been pestering them, calling them a cute couple whenever he came to deliver their drinks. obviously, the two furiously denied it but jisung would sometimes catch a small laugh on haru's lips.

after that, he gathered his confidence to ask her if she wanted to work at his place. thankfully she said yes.

the bell rang.

"haru's here."

aunt nayeon hurried through the small apartment.
"snacks on the table, the whole place has been hoovered." she listed from the top of her mind "laundry, i forgot about the laundry! jisung, did you pick up your underwear–
