Taehyung let himself be dragged through the massive crowd, Yeri practically bouncing with excitement beside him. The energy outside the stadium was electric, a sea of fans waving lightsticks and clutching banners with Jungkook's name on them. He tried to focus on Yeri's bright smile, but his mind was elsewhere, lost in the past.
As they weaved through the masses, Taehyung couldn't shake the surreal feeling that had settled over him since the morning. He was on his way to see Jungkook perform, but he wasn't the man jungkook had known.
Not anymore. He was just another fan now, just another face in the crowd.
Finally, they found their seats, and Taehyung's eyes widened as he realized they were in the first row, mere feet away from the stage.
"Wait... how did you get these seats?" Taehyung asked, frowning at Yeri, who was already settling into her chair with an excited squeal.
Yeri grinned at him, holding up her tickets. "Someone helped me!" she said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "I was in line, and this guy came up to me and offered me tickets. Said he had extras. So, I accepted!"
Taehyung blinked, feeling a strange unease settle in his chest. "You just... accepted the offer?"
She nodded, unfazed. "Of course! We're front row, oppa! Can you believe it?"
Taehyung forced a small smile but couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Still, he sat down, trying to push away the thoughts swirling in his head. He looked around the stadium, taking in the thousands of fans holding their lightsticks high, their faces glowing with anticipation.
The atmosphere was overwhelming, a reminder of just how loved Jungkook was. Taehyung stared at the faces around him, all of them filled with adoration. He's so loved, Taehyung thought, his chest tightening.
And here I am, just another fan now.
The thought stung, the reality of it settling deeper into his bones. He was no longer the person who knew Jungkook intimately, who had shared quiet mornings and stolen moments with him.
