as all the first years we're getting sorted draco and i talked a lot.

"do you want to meet me in the astronomy tower tonight? the stars look really good from up there." draco asked me.

i got major butterflies, and he might've been able to tell because he broke eye contact and looked down at his hands.

"yeah, i'll try to sneak out. what time?"

"12:01." draco said as he looked back up at me. "don't be late, riddle."

"why 12:01?" i asked.

"i don't know. just feel like it."

"cool."

"cool."

we both smiled at the semi flirtatious conversation we just had.

after what felt like forever, dumbledore dismissed us.

pansy and i were rooming together, even though she isn't my best friend, she's nice to room with.

we were unpacking and talking just like normal and i checked the clock. it was 11:59 pm. i already told pansy about draco and i's plan.

she always covers for me, and i cover for her. it's honestly a great relationship we have.

i rushed up the stairs to the astronomy tower and saw the platinum blonde boy holding onto the rail looking up at the sky.

"12:04. you're late, riddle" he said in a deep voice.

"sorry, lost track of time." i stood next to him and put my hand next to his. the sides of our bodies were touching which gave me chills.

he moved his hand a bit over so our pinkies are overlapping. i couldn't help but to smile.

draco turned around and laid on the cold floor looking up at the sky. i followed him and laid down next to him.

"y/n,"

"yeah draco?"

"i feel like you're really the only person who truly gets me. you understand what it's like having parents who aren't there for you."

i looked over at him, his pale blue eyes we're looking up into the sky.

i wasn't the best at giving advise or getting into deep conversations like this. even with draco.

"me too." i regret saying this because it made the conversation a little awkward.

"y/n, i need to tell you something."

"yeah, draco?"

"you've always been my best friend. ever since we were 6 years old, and voldemort would bring you to the manor."

"i remember, we would play house. you would always be the dad and i would be the mom."

we both laughed and rolled our eyes thinking of the embarrassing game.

"i want to be honest with you y/n. i've been in love with you ever sense we played house in the tree house."

i've never really thought of draco in a romantic way until recently. i looked over and he was looking at me. i smiled and looked back up at the stars.

i looked back over at draco who was looking up at the stars too and put my right hand on his jaw to turn his head.

we looked at each other for a second before i pecked him on the lips. i quickly got up and started heading towards the door.

i turned back around and smiled and said, "goodnight, malfoy."

"goodnight ms. riddle." he said while sitting up.

i ran to the common room and to the dorms. i told pansy all about tonight, the talk we had, him being so madly in love with me, and of course the kiss.

we jumped around and squealed a bit, but we needed to get a good nights sleep before classes started in the morning.

"y/n, first day of school!" pansy said throwing the covers off me. she was used to this because we've roomed together the past 3 years.

i got up and started brushing my teeth. pansy turned on some music to get us pumped up for the morning.

i put on eyeliner and mascara which made my y/ec really pop. i put on a bit of highlighter and straightened my hair.

i put on the tiny skirt and knee high black socks which was a new addition to my uniform. i put on my white shirt and vest with the tie and cloak.

we ran out to the common room to only be greeted by of course, malfoy.

usually this wouldn't have made me nervous, but considering what happened last night, of course it did.

he looked over at me from the corner and smiled and looked back down at his hands.

i decided to be bold and walk over there and stand next to him. i could smell the vanilla scented perfume that i applied this morning.

"good morning y/n how are you?" crabbe asked while laughing. draco must've told them about the kiss.

"oh shut it, crabbe." malfoy said, his pale cheeks were bright pink.

"i'm great crabbe, how are you?" i asked him, which made draco shift a little bit.

"oh i'm good, wonderful morning, isn't it?"

"i wouldn't know, haven't been outside yet."

"how'd you sleep? did ya get much?"

"yep, slept pretty hard. what about you, crabbe?"

"didn't sleep that good, had someone sneak in the room late. kept me up almost all night." i looked over at draco who was smiling down at his hands.

"well better get to class." i said after the awkward silence.

"i'll go with you." draco said walking towards me.

"ooohoohooo" crabbe said. he was obviously copying malfoy, as per usual.

i grinned at him and opened my hand so he could grab it. we usually did this as friends, but i think it's more romantic now.

we got out of the common room and he quickly exhaled out. i looked at him and rolled my eyes.

"what riddle?"

"nothing, just didn't know you'd tell anyone."

"didn't you tell pansy?"

"yes, i mean how'd you know?"

"i've been friends with you since were little. i know you, y/n. you can't keep a secret for shit."

i scoffed a little, even though i know it's true.

"whatever, malfoy."

"tonight? astronomy tower?"

"im sure i'll have homework."

"i can help you. you know i'm third in the class."

"yeah, after me."

"and you're after granger so i don't wanna hear it."

we walked into potions to be greeted by no other then professor snape.

"good morning malfoy and riddle. please have a seat."

we were clearly snapes favorites considering we were both pure bloods and spawns of the dark side.

we were destined for failure.

the day went on and on the hours got longer and longer. the day was finally over.

i finished all my studying and homework, excited about tonight, but went to take a nap. i drifted asleep quickly, and for a while.
