School was over and Sky was heading out. Meeting Maria outside the court field. "Sky. You're going home already?"
"Well yeah. I have to help my mom and I don't have much free time for activities like you," replied Sky.
"Hey. Us cheerleaders have it hard you know." Sky let out a small laugh. "I'll text you later."
"Ok. Good luck." Maria ran back to the team and started her cheerleader workout.
Sky head to the gates and saw Allaster with a motorcycle. "Hey Sky. Do you need a ride," he asked.
She move few steps back. Clenched her bag. "Um...It's okay....My place is not far from here. So please excuse me."
Sky passed by him but he grabbed her arm. "I told you didn't I. I will make you remember no matter what." He pulled Sky on to his motorcycle. Put a helmet on her head and off they went.
"Ahhhhhh. Too fast. Too fast," shouted Sky. They stopped. "Here open your eyes," said Allaster. She slowly opened her eyes and saw an incredible scene. They were in a wide grass field. Filled with nothing but the green grass and the blue white sky. "Wooooooow. Amazing. This place is so beautiful beyond words." Sky has a bright smile on her face. As Allaster was standing there staring at Sky's smile.
"I'm glad that your smile haven't changed," he complimented. Sky started to blush.
"I have to get going and help my mom and uncle,"said nervously Sky.
"Your Uncle? Where's your dad?"
"My father died about six years ago. He was a fool. Because of him my mother suffered. We had so much debt to pay and he just keep getting into trouble."
"So, how did he died?"
"One time he try to rob a bank in town. However the security had a gun and shot him."
"Sky.I'm sorry."
"Don't be. Not once was he a father to me. He dug his own grave. But even so, he is the one that created me. I can't forgive him but I also can't hate him. Ha. It's stupid right?"
He put his arm around her and gently hold her. "No it's not. Your father did something horrible to you and yet you still care for him even after death. It shows that you are a wonderful person."
Sky started to flow tears. She cried for a minute but put up a smile.
"Thank you. For saying that."
Allaster smiled. "What about you? What does your parents do?"
He remain silent for a few moments and started to talk.
"My mother died when I was one, so I barely remember her. And as for my father, he doesn't really care about me. Right now he is on his business trip. Right now I'm alone, but I'm use to it by now. I could survived by myself."
"DON'T SAY THAT," shouted Sky. Allaster flinched. "Don't say you will be alright by yourself. Us humans can't survive by ourselves. We have to relay on others for help. Be alone is to hard and painful, but there are people that we could share our pain and suffering. We can't survive all alone we have to have other by our side. Family, friends, supporters. Those that care about you and those that you care about will be there for in your hard time." Sky grabbed his hand. "From now on, tell me when your in pain I'll come by and heal your pain and suffering that way you will never be alone."
Sky smiled and Allaster was touched. But at that moment Sky came back to her senses and realize what she was doing. She quickly let go of his hand and backed away.
"I....I.......I'm sorry. I wasn't.......thinking straight." Sky blushed non-stop.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA," laughing Allaster."You really are amusing. But What I like about the most is your smile." Sky looked as his face and saw a gentle smile. She was blushing even more. As he turned his back at that moment Sky saw it for a second. The pure white wings of an angel. She, without thinking touched his back.
