4. You're a part of me

Buttercup pov:
Why did I ran off?
Arc liked me back. He kissed me! He wanted to be with me.
And all I did was running off.
I sighed and Sage looked at me.
"What's wrong?"
"N- nothing!"
But I had tears in my eyes, knowing that I made a mistake.
"Buttercup...?"
Sage acctually seemed worried...
"I- I need to go." I said and I ran off, again.

I sat down by the market place.
Unbelievable what happend. And the worst part, I can't tell anyone! Then Sage will find out and be so pissed.
"Hey... Can we talk?" a voice said and I looked up.
"Arc!"
He sat down next to me and I looked at him.
"What are you doing here?"
"Like I said. Can we talk?"
"But we're already talking...?"
Arc grinned softly and I looked away.
Don't. Buttercup, you can't be together with a feniks!
Arc took my hand in his and I looked at him.
"We both know that we like each other..." he whispered.
"But..." and I didn't finish my sentence.
Arc sighed.
"I know about the whole kraken/feniks thing. And that Sage and the rest of the fenikssquad won't like the two of us together."
"So what do we do?"
"We keep it a secret. The two of us."
"Secret? Sage and I never had secrets for each other before..."
"I wish I could say the same about Warwick and Prudy..."
"Wait- you have secrets for them but not for Ciara?"
Arc grinned nervously.
"Can you pretend like I didn't say that?"
I smirked.
"Depends on. Are we...?"
"Let me ask you. Will you be my secret girlfriend?"
"Yes. I'd love to!"
He kissed me softly and I smiled.
"You just made my day."
"So did you."
"Buttercup! Where are you?!" Sage's voice yelled.
Arc and I split up and I just ran off.
A secret... Would I be able to keep it a secret?

Arc pov:
So I went back to the fenikssquad room.
"So, what's up with you?" Ciara said with a smirk.
"Huh?"
"You seem awfully happy. Spill it."
"There's nothing to spill."
"Liar."
I thought about the fact that Buttercup and I were finally together and I smiled.
"Ughh, you're hopeless!" Ciara said annoyed.
I grinned and Prudy came in with Warwick.
"An anoyed Ciara and a smiling Arc? Should we be worried?" Prudy asked.
"I think not...?" Warwick said.
"Oh, by the way. Unicornswuad is throwing a party tonight. The four of us and krakensquad are invited." Prudy said.
"Really? They even invited Sage and Buttercup?" Ciara said.
"Buttercup isn't so bad..." I muttered.
The other three looked at me and Warwick nodded.
"Yea okay. She is like that thanks to Sage."
Goblins I nearly exposed the relation ship of me and Buttercup...
Close call...

So when we got there Buttercup and I locked eyes for a moment.
She smiled and we both looked away.
"Hey Ciara?" Warwick said after some time.
"Yes?"
"Wanna dance? It's a party after all."
Ciara grinned softly.
"Sure...?"
Prudy and I looked at each other.
"I bet ten gold pieces that they end up together." I said.
Prudy smirked.
"I bet ten gold pieces that they won't. Ciara thinks that Warwick is like a brother."
"Trust me. Love has weird ways..."
Prudy rolled her eyes.
"How would you know?"
"Eh... Just guessing?"
STOP MESSING IT UP!
Prudy looked at me with a sceptical look.
"You're hiding something...?"
"No!"
Prudy grinned as she shoke her head.
"I saw some giant chicken legs. See you around."
So I was alone. Finally!
And as far as I could see, so was Buttercup.
I walked to her and she smiled.
"Hey stranger." I said.
"Arc, what if someone sees us?"
"Like they focus on people like us."
She grinned and I kissed her on her cheek, I know that's lame but shut up.
She smiled and bit her lip.
"So-"
"Buttercup? Arc? What are you two doing so close?" Sage said.
Buttercup didn't hesitate and punched me in my stumach.
"Ow!"
"And leave me alone!" she yelled.
"What the-?"
But I left and Sage seemed satisfied.
Buttercup locked eyes with me.
*Sorry!* she mouthed.
This was going to be really hard to keep our relationship a secret...
