5. Love is pain

Buttercup pov:
So I punched my secret boyfriend in his stomach... I'm so terrible...
I walked trough the forest hoping to clear my head...
"Buttercup watch out!" a voice yelled and Arc pushed me aside.
He got an arrow in his ribs and a soldier of Raver ran off.
"Arc!"
"Arg..."
I kneeled next to him.
"Arc, say something!"
He gritted his teeth in pain.
"Why am I always the one who's getting injured...?"
I hugged him.
"You saved me..."
"Yea can we talk about that after you got help."
"I'm not leaving you..."
"You have to. To get someone for help..."
"Arc I'm not leaving you alone like this."
"Buttercup, listen to me... You have to."
"What if Raver's soldiers come back and kill you?!"
"I'm gonna die if you don't get help as well..."
His face turned pale and he was breathing slower.
"Arc...?"
"Get... Help..."
His hand slid off the arrow and his wound was bleeding a lot.
I kissed him.
"Don't you dare to die..."
He smiled softly.
"I try..."
I ran off to get help.
And I needed to hurry.

Once I arrived at the knight school, all of them looked at me in suprise.
"Buttercup, what's wrong?" Sage asked because of the fact that I was out of breath.
"Need... Help..."
"Are you injured?" Prudy asked.
"Not me... Arc..."
"What? Where?" Ciara asked.
"The forest... He... He saved my life... He told me to get help and-"
"Buttercup focus. Where is he?" Warwick asked.
"Follow me." I said and we started to run again.

"I swear that he was right here!" I said when we were there.
"Then where is he now?!" Ciara said.
Arc was nowhere to be found.
"Are you sure that you're not imagining things? Like you do often." Sage said.
"I'm not crazy! He was right here! With an arrow in his ribs!"
"Buttercup, this is not funny!" Prudy said and those four wanted to walk away.
"You have to believe me!"
"Why would Arc risk his life for you anyway?" Sage asked.
I couldn't tell them the truth.
"Yea, you two might be partnered up for the challenge but it's not like he sees you as a friend." Warwick said.
True because I'm his girlfriend!
"I'll proof it. And I'll find him." I said and I turned.
"Is she that desperate?" Prudy asked.
"She was never that desperate before. Mabey she is telling us the truth." Sage said.

Arc pov:
Buttercup left and I knew that it was no use.
I would die here.
I would die here because I saved her life.
"You idiot! I told you not to harm the boy!" I heard someone yelling, I couldn't recognise the voice because of the pain.
But then I saw him... Raver.
"Oh no..." I muttered and I crawled back.
Raver looked at me.
"Arc... Long time no see... Sixteen years if I'm not mistaken.
"What the...?"
"You two idiots! Help this young man."
And two of his soldiers walked to me and helped me up.
"Why would you help me?" I asked before they acctually helped me.
I gritted my teeth in pain once they pulled the arrow out.
"Why wouldn't I help my own son."
I looked at him.
"I'm not... My father... He... He's in Seagate!"
They were done with my wound, it still hurts, they stitched it.
"Whoever that idiot is, he appeared a few days after your mother died."
"No, you killed her!"
"I released her from her pain... Because she didn't want her twin to see her in so much pain."
"T- twin? I don't-"
"Hey brother! Took ya long enough to find us." A girl said, a girl who looked like a girl version of me... It scared me a little though...
"What the...?"
"Don't you remember me? I'm your twin sister... Sienna..."
"I... No! You're trying to get inside my head! I don't believe you Raver!"
"But I'm telling you the truth. How else would I have this..." and he showed me the other part of mothers medallion.
I always wore my part under my shirt, guys don't wear necklaces, at least most of them don't...
"How did you get that?!"
"I'm telling you... I'm your father-"
"-and I'm you twin sis."
I looked at both of them.
"How the hell is this possible...?"
"Sir, the knight students are in the forest." A warrior said.
Raver looked at me.
"Your friends are looking for you, go on. Sienna will find you for your answer."
"You didn't ask me a question..."
"But ofcourse. You'd join your family, wouldn't you?"
"I'd what?!"
"Go to your friends before they find our camp." Sienna said.

The others looked at me.
"Where were you?! I thought that you'd stay here?" Buttercup said.
"Buttercup, you said that Arc had an arrow in his ribs?" Ciara said.
I looked behind me.
"Raver... He... He helped..."
"Woah... The Raver, the guy who wants to destroy Astoria?!" Sage said.
"No way he did." Prudy said.
"It's true... And..."
"And what?" Warwick asked.
"He said..."
I sighed.
"Y'know nevermind..."
"Arc, is everything alright?" Buttercup asked.
"Yea... I guess..."
"Let's go back to the night school, the duo challenge is tomorrow." Ciara said.
"Right..." I said.
"Are you sure you should?" Prudy asked.
"You need more to get me out of the game then one arrow." I said.
