The unfamiliar faces passed by Y/n as she headed to her designated classroom. 8D

The girl was never the type who liked having friends. Not that it was her choice to begin with.

From a very young age she had been excelling at every field possible, from music to sports to studies, everything. This clearly set her apart from others. Those around her began alienating her. Gradually, even topping in everything became boring and unattractive. She was someone who now loathed company.

That's what made pets amazing. Their brains aren't complicated enough to knowingly hurt your feelings. There's no double meaning hidden behind their actions.

Somewhere deep down in her heart, Sunhwa suspected that she was the reason her parents moved. To give her a fresh start.

Y/n sat idly in her seat by the window as Ms. Kim explained trigonometry. Even if she didn't pay attention, she'd easily land full marks so she wasn't bothered by the complicacy of the topic like the others.

What bothered her was..... Jimin. He clearly lived around here and this was also clearly the only school around. Ohhhhhh nooooo what if he's in college already? Wait he isn't right?

'-n Jung,' her mind re-entered the class just in time to hear her teacher asking her a question, looking very proud of her skills in spotting inattentive ones.

She stood up, unfazed, answered confidently and sat down, leaving the teacher a bit embarrassed. A few students threw her mean looks.

Lunch break started and with it also started Sunhwa's quest to find the holy gateway to the rooftop.

It was easy enough. She's an expert at finding hiding places after all.

Now, Y/n had spent too many hours reading manga, manhwa and webtoons to even be surprised at this cliché.

There he was. Park jimin. Gazing at the sky while leaning on the railing.

But something seemed off. His eyes seemed really dull and hollow and his smile was nowhere to be seen.

Damn I lose interest in writing so easily wow but I have a feeling this story might take a crazy turn since I wrote this after watching an awesome series. :)
