You once again had a strange dream when you passed out. Grimm had you on his shoulder while going back to Dirtmouth. He was humming a familiar tune, you couldn't remember what it was from however. He carried you to the nearest Stagway and you traveled asleep with him.
Once you guys got to Dirtmouth he once again carried you on his shoulder and went to the troupe tents. Devine and Brumm came to him and started talking immediately. "Is she ok master?!" "Where was she at?" He waved them away and gave them a look saying that he'll explain later.
He continued carrying you into the maze of rooms until you reached a room that was close to the wooden double doors of his room. He took you in and lays you in the bed in the center of the room. He quickly walked out and you were forced to stay in the room, floating endlessly until you woke.
About 8-9 hours later he came back in with one of those weird entities that you saw around the tent. He was carrying a medical bag. The Grimmchild that was sleeping on your neck the entire time got up and circled around Grimm. He catches the child and cradled it while the entity got to work fixing your leg.
After the entity was finished putting the splint on your leg he bowed to Grimm before going out of the room. He went over to you and snapped his fingers.
You suddenly were yoinked back to your body as you woke up. He sat down next to the bed as your eyes fluttered to life. "I'm terribly sorry about all of this Y/N, I never expected for the torchbearer to pass on the child to a bug that has no experience fighting."
"It's probably not their fault, the child didn't really like them and they saw the child really bonded with me." Grimm nodded as he let the child cuddle with your laying body. "Still, it was selfish of them to ask you to do it." You wanted to defend the vessel, after all they were your friend and they were with you when you had almost no one.
"Well since the responsibility of carrying the child is with you now, I do have a request of you." You propped yourself up on the bed to give Grimm eye contact. "And what is that request Grimm?" You said with only a little bit of concern in your voice. "I want you to stay in the tents while you aren't going out to get flames or meeting with your friends."
You were taken aback by this proposal. You never really wanted to rely on anyone when it came to your life. But it was getting awfully cold outside and the room was pretty nice. Plus if you said no he might take away the child and you had grown rather fond of them. "Can I have a day or two to think about it?"
"Sure thing, I'll expect the answer by tomorrow evening." Grimm got up and walked out, leaving you alone with the child and with your thoughts. This was certainly gonna be a life changing decision.
(Sorry guys, I went camping over the weekend and didn't have time to do this after the camping trip. Big things are coming so stay tuned!)
