Some people say that they can tell when a child is gay, bi, straight, or any sexuality just by how they act as a kid. Same can be said for aromantic asexuals.

Most kids are slightly romance repulsed. Some, as I have seen, have had fake weddings since preschool.

For longer than I can remember, I've hated weddings. My best friends had fake ones all throughout middle schools, and I participated, but I was always a flower girl or a photographer.

This particular instance, however, happened at a real wedding. As stated, I was only six when this happened, so the memory is sort of foggy. I have had this story repeated to me at various family events, and if someone knows me personally, the fact I did this at such a young age really tells something about my personality.

It was a traditional Catholic Wedding, and I was the flower girl. I had the white dress and the flowers and everything, as per usual.

Everything had been going smoothly, or as smoothly as something in my chaotic family can go.

If anyone hasn't been to a Catholic wedding, the priest asks "Is their any objections?" after the vows and all. Not exactly sure why, maybe it's a formality, maybe it's not. I don't pay attention when we learn about Marriage in school, it bores me to death.

One thing about me is the fact that I'm very outspoken. In fact, I've always been. If I have something in my mind, I'll say it.

My hand flew up in the air, like I was in school, and all eyes turned towards me slightly confused.

The priest asked me if I had an objection, and I nodded.

"They can't get married because I don't want to see them kiss."

Yes, I've actually said this. Are you surprised I turned out asexual? No.

That story ends with them just having me turn around and closing my eyes during the kiss.

My extended family still knows me as "The Girl Who Almost Ruined A Wedding."
