Her feet found ground and she was in the living room of Zabini manor. Her face streaming with tears, she walked up to her room.
Aunt Zabini was there organizing what might be missing. A parcel waiting on her bed.

"Oh dear" she said and took her into a bone crushing hug.

"I'm sorry time went away so fast. It is cruel how short time you had with him" she said simply.

Y/n did not ask how she knew, merely let some more tears burn her skin.

"It's for you, but do not open it until you're home. I'll leave you to it, you leave tomorrow at 8am" she said.

Y/n gave her a small nod. She still couldn't find her voice.

She packed the few things left, including the letters she'd ignored from Draco, and sat in her bed to read them.
If she'd known...
It got late, she folded the last letter and placed them in a small pocket in her trunk. Then she shoved the parcel over her neatly folded clothes and closed it. Forcing herself to an uneasy sleep.

She woke by 5am, no longer being able to sleep. She got dressed and organized the room. A letter was by her bedside in the leg of a tawny owl.
It was addressed to her in Draco's handwriting.
"Read it when you're home".

Perhaps she'd gone dehydrated. The knot tightened but no more tears fell.

~~~
The warm air hit her face as she stepped out to look for her family. Bright colors hit her eyes, here people tend to a much more colorful wardrobe than back there. She heaved her trunks onto a trolley and walked until she found her mother and grandparents.
Her face was still slightly puffy from crying, but she hoped against hope she'd managed to disguise it with a bit of makeup and the excuse of jet lag.
Her mother took her as soon as she saw her in the hug only a mother could give. It might have strung some parts back together even.
"Corazón, todo bien en el viaje?" Asked Gemini examining her daughter.
To Y/n's dread anyways, Gemini was a born legilimens, hence why she was tender to be in the job of deciphering her daughter. Her occlumensy was pitiful and it was harder to keep her from seeing.
"Hmm, I'd thought so" she merely smiled and hugged her again.
Then both her grandparents, who like always, stood out of the crowd, power and class were what their attire spoke.
They arrived home, she'd forgotten how gorgeous Lyron manor was, full of beautiful gardens kept by Mrs Lyron and art and summer all around the place. She enchanted her trunks up to her room. It was not precisely legal for her to perform magic outside of school. But since her house was of a wizarding family, she was allowed some free range sometimes.
They left her alone so she had time to freshen up and organize her things, for which she was exceedingly glad.
She showered and got into some fresher clothes, then sat in her bed and opened her trunk.
The parcel and the letter over everything else.
She took a moment, and chose that the letter would be the last thing she read, first she had to undo her bags before she felt the urge to escape and go back.
She took her time, but at last she hung her last item, the dress she wore to the tule ball. She hugged the fabric before hanging it, and placed a small basket with laundry for the house elves to take.
She placed Fred and George's joke box on her jewelry vanity. Peeking at her reflection for a second or two.
At last she opened the parcel.
"Good luck back home Y/n"
The neat and handsome handsome handwriting of Missus Lyron was over a corner of the wrapper.
She cautiously opened it, so not to tear that bit.
Three things lay in front of her.
From Blaise, a book she'd been loving to read from the Zabini library, about dark arts.
From Ms Zabini, a magazine with order leaflets to her favorite latin designers and her signature over them as she was to pay for whatever she ordered.
And from Aunt Zabini, a curious old mirror.
"For whenever you want to have a glance of your second home"
A double ended mirror, she smiled to herself.
She put the book into her personal shelf besides her Hogwarts books, Ms Zabini's magazine on her nightstand, and aunt Zabini's mirror besides the one above her vanity.
Now the letter...
With slightly trembling hands, she tore the envelope and straightened the parchment within.
——
Y/n,
It will be now long since you're gone. It's already weird without you around. Crabbe and Goyle are back at following me around, but I miss having an equal, not followers...
You were here for so long it seems odd to think you weren't always there.
I don't know how to explain things, I just need you to know that I'll wait for you. If you ever come back, or if when war is over I'm able to go, I'll always yours.
If you miss me, read this letter again. I re read yours for the matter too.
I'm sorry I'm not good with words, I just hope one day things can be properly said.
Yours, Draco
Ps. I'm awful with this so I'm sorry if this feels distant...
Y/n cherished the effort. She knew he had it hard showing emotion or allowing himself to feel, and now she was so far away, it hurt.
She sat there for a while reading the letter again, and holding it close to her heart.
At last she folded it back and saved it in a black box with the rest of his letters.
