“So what song are we going to do?” Angela questioned me.
“ I was thinking something like…. Set Fire to the Rain by Adele?” I replied.
“Awesome!! I love that song.”
“Do you wanna grab a snack?” I asked “I’m hungry!!”
“ You ALWAYS are Sky! But sure. Then we go to your room to practice though ok?”
“Yes Mother.” I said cracking a smile
I grabbed 4 chocolate chip cookies out of the jar, poured myself a glass of chocolate milk, and swiped the last napkin off the counter before Angela could take it.
She stuck her tongue out at me.
“ there are more in the pantry. Help yourself.” I said. Angela had only taken two cookies and half a glass of white milk.
We headed up to my room with our snacks.
I loved my room. It had posters of all my favorite singers on wall, forming a colleague, a cork board full of pictures of me Angela, and Niall, a full sized dark brown oak bed, a nice bathroom attached and a huge walk in closet stuffed with dresses, jeans, t-shirts, skirts, nice shirts, shoes and sweat shirts, from all my favorite stores.
You’d think, since Niall was my best friend, there would be something from his band, a poster, album cover, picture, concert ticket, anything. Nope. I used to. Then about a month after they got big, Niall never called or replied to any of my texts. There was no sign of One Direction in MY room.
I sat down on my bed, and Angela sat down in a swivel chair. She picked up one of my guitars, and strummed the first cord for Set Fire to the Rain.
