the journey to the palace was long one for some of you, a short one for others.

situated on the coast of what was once california, the beautiful palace is a relic from the founding of illéa, though you wouldn't know it from looking at it, it's been so well kept by the royal family, whom have lived in it since it's building.

stepping out of the carriage that had been sent to retrieve you all from the airport, you reach to grab your luggage, but the maids streaming out of the entrance get there first.

you're ushered in side, barely able to keep up with quick scurrying of the house-er, palace, staff. for a moment you wonder if this is how you'll meet the royals, jet lagged, and exhausted from the king carriage ride and even longer flight.

thankfully, you find yourself left in a small parlour, with what you assume to be the rest of the selected. there's tea and little snacks and cookies laid out on a delicate looking coffee table, next to an empty fire place. stiff looking couches, with even more uncomfortable looking cushions, are situated around this fireplace, which seems to be the focal point of the room.

you are told by a passing maid that the selected will all be introduced to the royals tomorrow night, at the first ball of the season, but for now, they've given you the time to relax and recover from your travels with the other selected.
