The portkay was a very efficient way of traveling in the Wizarding World, but I couldn't help to get nauseous every time I used one.
I couldn't believe I was finally here in Romania after way too much effort.
I looked around to find the hospital so I could get checked in, until I found a distant house with a signboard of Balaur Spital which seemed very odd, but still I got on there with wand in hand.
When I opened the door, the room was pretty dark and I could only see a counter with a little silver service bell, but I couldn't see anyone else in there.
"Hey are you also new?" My heart nearly came out of my chest when I heard someone's voice. I thought I would be already dead!
"MERLIN!"
"I'm sorry! Didn't meant that... but um I think you have to ring the bell"
The new stranger was a really tall and good looking brown haired guy, if it wasn't because of the heart attack he gave me few seconds ago, I would tell he seemed like a nice person.
I moved aside so he could ring the bell, and just like that, an old lady rushed from behind red courtains and pulled the bell towards her. In a beggining, I wasn't sure what was happening until the room started to shake to reveal a big wooden hospital wing.
I turned around and the stranger and I exchanged a glance, both of us, clearly confused and amazed.
We were shortly interrupted by a lovely way of speaking.
"Are this two buffoons the fresh meat?" A middle aged woman said with her hands on hips and a very severe look. Great, Snape 2.0!
"Uh yes? (y/n) (y/ln), from Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry, it's an honor to be here" I said as I offered my hand.
I read somewhere that for romanians, the very first greeting spoke a lot from your person."My name is Liam Alarie, from Beauxbautons Academy of Magic, also honored of being here in such a short notice."
So that was the stranger's name.
"I'm Madam Matei, hope you don't disappoint. Follow me, and by the way, I don't want you using that enter again, it's made only for nosy muggles that come nearby."
We followed her as fast as we could, she walked so fast through the hall in between the beds that I figured she should do that every hour every single day and I couldn't be more excited of moving one day with such a security on myself.
As Madam Matei explained, this was one of the many hospital wings they had, but this was meant for workers and family only, kind of like muggle insurance system. They were waiting for more people to join the crew, because more zoologists had arrived in company of new dragons, expecting way more than now.
"So female personal cabins are the closest to the left and the male is a few feet from there." Madam Matei technicly kicked us out giving us the uniform on the locker, explaining we must leave it there; the location of the common cafeteria clarifying it would be open 24 hours, and saying she'll wait for us tomorrow 6 a.m.
Liam and I agreed on meeting back again at the cafeteria mostly so we could get more familiarized with the place.
I finally reached my cabin and opened the door just to reveal a group of four girls who glanced at me just for a second and then kept playing exploding snap.
The cabin seemed small but just the enough. A little table in the middle of the room and a couple of couches right besides the door making an "L" shape. There were only three rooms and a single bathroom, but the problem was I couldn't figure which was my room.
