The only one that has escaped? Alive? Jonas didn't know whether to be proud or shocked. He went with shocked.
Just as he opened his mouth Miranda gave him a look. Oh right, no interrupting. Jonas wondered if he would ever be able to talk.
"As I told you, you are the only person that has ever escaped alive from your community. All the other communities, they don't have powerful security like yours does. Actually," Miranda looked through some paperwork, "you are the only one who has tried to escape."
"What does that have to do with me putting you guys in danger?" Jonas didn't care, he should have the right to speak.
"I was getting to that. This is important, so listen up. Our world is divided into 7 sections. 1 of them being your community, 4 are the other communities. The others are more complicated. Another section, is the government. The entire government. They watch your each and every move.
"The government doesn't know that we are letting people who have escaped stay here. All they think this place is, is woods. When the government see's that your community has the memories, and the Receiver of Memory is gone, they will start to wonder where you went. They will find us Jonas. And they are already on there way."
