Chapter One: Meet and Greet

Introduction

Chapter one you started happy, the two of you we're going on stupid dates, and you thought that this time it would be genuine. You thought that s/he was the one. The second that they said they loved you, it was perfect. The world couldn't be better. You moved into an apartment together, and your life was fantastic. By the time chapter three came around, the secret texts started, they began to distance themselves from you. You became upset, angry, then you thought about what they're going through, maybe their job was giving them problems or that school was tough. You started to relax. Around chapter five, you started to fight, at first it was over the littlest things and then it escalated to something much more than that. It came to the point where every conversation was angry and you left feeling down and that it could only go downhill from here. Chapter seven it happened, the last straw was pulled and you broke, the two of you fought for hours and then very late in the night, you called it off. Saying that "I can't do this anymore, all we do is fight! What happened to our fun nights of cuddling on the couch and watching horror movies?!" You told them to pack their stuff and leave. They started to protest, but then they realized that you were right. All the passion that the two of you had fallen in love with was gone, and that they had already moved on. Chapter ten, you finally moved on, you got a new apartment, somewhere downtown, closer to your job. You got a raise and your life had gotten so much better. Then the cycle starts again, this time, in chapter seven, you lose your job and had to move and find a new one, from New Jersey to Texas. In Austin you find a home that will help you survive, nothing fancy. Then you find your dream job, and they hire you, and that's where you meet him/her. You try to make a good impression, but you're shy and not good at making new conversations, or friends for that matter. Once you manage to gain their trust, you become great friends, and then, you go through chapters one through seven again. This time, someone close is there to help you through it. Your best friend goes through the cycle too, and you're there for them, and all of a sudden it hits you, all these past relationships we're to prove to you that there is only one person you truly love, and have loved since the day you met, and they're standing right in front of you.

My name is Michael Vincent Jones, and this is the story of how I fell in love with my best friend.

Chapter One..

This isn't your typical Hallmark movie romance. No, this is much more than that, this is the beginning of a new part of my life. Something sparked him that night to do the unexpected. I had a crush on him for the longest of time and I had to believe that he did too. When Meg dumped him he was devastated, i helped him through it, gave him the spare room at my house. Then Lindsay got tired of us always cuddling, but it was the only way to make him happy; so I stopped. Then our friendship became more indepth, more emotional. We had was some would call, a 'bromance'. Lindsay eventually saw that it was much more than what we said, and she moved out. Ended it all. Then I was the damsel in distress. He helped me through it just as I helped him. Before we get to that part, we're gonna start from the beginning, the first day I met the love of my life.

It had been the second day since my new co-worker started. I had been sick the day before and missed his first day, but who cares? I'm going to be spending a lot of time with him anyway, right? I walked into our small office, with my bag over my shoulder and a smile on my face. "Hey lads! Did you miss me?!" Geoff, Jack, and Ray all laughed. Geoff is our boss. Tough guy, wouldn't mess with him, not that i'm afraid of him or anything, hes a war vet thats all. Jack is one of the oldest employees here. He's a good guy, not very good at video games, but then again not many of us are. Ray is my best friend, he opened right up to me when I first started, I'd be lost without him. His family is from Puerto Rico, lovely country. Ray is the only one in Achievement Hunter who is actually good at games or stupid stuff. "Yo dick-head!" Geoff called out to me breaking my train of thought. "Meet your new co-worker." He was amazing. Average high, golden skin, and a smile that could make even Sam Winchester go gay-side. "Ello mate! I'm Gavin, but you can call me Gav." Okay, forget the smile his smooth british accent made me fall in love. Who cares if hes actually a complete dick? He could whisper the stupidest of things into my ear while we cuddle in bed before we fall asleep for the night. "Mate?" he spoke again. "Hello?!" He asked waving his hand in front of my face. "Sorry, I digressed in my thoughts. My name is Michael. Just Michael." He laughed, which was another thing that was just fucking fantastic. "Well, just Michael, its nice to meet you." He laughed again.

"Alright you fuck-heads get to work!" Geoff gestured us towards our desk to begin editing and filming for today. Geoff being the great man he is, put gavins desk next to mine. How awesome right? I get to spend the rest of my working life next to this beautiful brit, doing what I love.

Over the next few days my friendship began to grow and blossom just as I hoped it would. Gavin was living with Geoff. Of course Geoff was a grateful host, but Gav can be a bit of a dick sometimes. I guess that doesn't really matter because we all can be dicks, it in our nature. The more I got to know this man, the more I questioned my own sexuality..
