Chapter 14

***Taylor’s POV:***

“Take four steps backwards…”  I read my Sorry card aloud.  I don’t like this game.  Why do they call if Sorry, if you’re obviously not sorry?

Wait…

That’s the point!

I laughed to myself as I moved my game piece backwards four spaces.

“My turn!”  Mirabell said, smiling.

She picked up her card.  Her face turned from an innocent smile to a devious one.

“Sorry.”  She grinned ear to ear, while she grabbed my blue game piece and used her yellow one to knock mine clear across the room, and she left her game piece where mine was.

“You’re so not sorry.” I accused.

“And?”  She giggled.

I laughed, too.  When she laughs, her thick black hair bounces and her eyes light up.  I love her eyes.  They’re such a beautiful shade of perfect.

“My turn, Bella.”  I teased, going to pick up my blue game piece and placing it at home once again.

Mirabell’s cheeks blushed a cute pink.  “Not Bella!”  She insisted.

“Whatever.”  I smiled, and picked up another card.  “One.”

I moved the same piece Mirabell threw across the room out of home.

“My turn!”  She said.

“You know, what if this game piece had feelings?”

“What?”

“This game piece!  What if it had feelings?”

She laughed.  “Um, care to explain?”

“Yeah, if this piece had feelings, it would be crying right now, since you chucked it across the room so rudely.”

She laughed some more.  “Wow, Taylor.”

O-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-O

“Night Taylor!”  Mirabell called from the stairs.

“What? No goodnight kiss?”  I joked, not expecting this.

She actually came back downstairs and stopped right in front of me.  Mirabell slowly lifted her hand and rested it on my shoulder gently.  She leaned her face towards me, and I closed the distance.  She kissed me carefully, cautiously opening her mouth and sliding her tongue across my bottom lip.  I rested my hands on her waist.

Just as it was getting good, she pulled away and giggled.

I groaned.

Once again, she giggled.  “Sleep good, Taylor.”  She winked and bounced up the stairs, leaving me speechless.

I sighed, and nuzzled under the covers on the couch.

Mirabell….

I swear, she’s all I think of now.  I can’t believe our relationship has changed so much.

Damn hormones.

What would I do without her?  Everywhere I look, I see something that reminds me of her.  What am I going to do when I have to go back and start filming again?

No, Taylor, don’t think of such horrible things.

But it’s not like the fifth installment of Twilight can be made without me, Jacob Black.  I mean, my character has to imprint on Bella’s baby!

Okay, Taylor, stop thinking about a stupid movie.

A question popped into my head.

Is Mirabell my girlfriend?

Sure seems like it.  But I haven’t actually asked her, either.  That’s it!  I’ll ask her to go out on a date with me!

What will she say?

Well of course she’ll say yes.  She has to.  Right?

All these thoughts came to an end when my eyelids fluttered closed.
