"Aye Maisy May Gilligan! Where you going girl? In a rush and what not."
Maisy kept speed walking down the hall towards the exit. She wanted to get to her dorm. Maisy wasn't the person you would label as popular or well known. Shit Maisy didn't have a single friend. She was mainly into her studies, too busy to have friends. Her long pretty, dark red, curly hair swayed as she rushed down the hallway.
"MAISY! Girl, wait up!"
Maisy sped up hearing the sound of her name. The sound of someone calling her name gave her anxiety.
Who could it be? What could they want? Why me? Out of all people why me?
Maisy's thoughts made her nervous and even more nervous that she sped up and lost focus to where she was walking. She didn't realize her books were slowly sliding out her arms. One textbook slipped onto the floor and instead of realizing it fell and stopping, Maisy tripped over the book dropping everything else in her hands.
"Fuck me!"
Maisy was embarrassed, upset, and now her papers were disorganized."Haha, Maisy May if you would have slowed down this wouldn't have happened."
Maisy looked up at the person who was calling her name, now helping her pick up her papers and books. It was the guy from her psychology class. He sat in the back with his friends. He was the head jock of the school.
He slowly stood up and straightened out Maisy's papers and books. Then he looked down at Maisy who was still embarrassed on the floor slowly picking up the few left on the floor.
"Weston. Weston Henry Levon. I sit behind you in Psycho 101."
Maisy stood up slowly and grabbed her papers and books out of Weston's hands.
"Thanks."
Maisy took her books and slowly walked away.Weston looked shocked and confused. He did a smooth, quick jog to catch up to her.
"All you can say is thanks? You don't want to know why I was calling your name? Why I was chasing you down? All you got to say is thanks?"
Maisy kept walking and ignoring everything Weston had to say. Did he not realize she wasn't interested. As he kept walking and talking to her, her anxiety kept hitting her.
Maybe he just wants me to do his homework? Maybe it's just a bet? Why is he talking to me? What if they're pranking me? I'm in college, That's too immature right? I'm crazy right?
" MAISY MAY GILLIGAN! Please stop walking and just let me explain!"
Maisy, who was finally outside and halfway home, stops and turns around. Flipping back her hair as she rolled her eyes and looked at Weston with an attitude.
"Maisy I've been going to school with you since middle school. You never paid me any attention. You never drooled over me like every other girl. You ignore everybody like they're not there. I wanted to personally invite you to my party. It's tomorrow night at 10pm."
Maisy couldn't help but to notice his pearly white teeth. That smile that light up every time. That smooth, dark, chocolate skin that glowed with the sunlight. Those hazel eyes that complimented his dimples. The waves in his hair that gave her chills.
Maisy dazed into amazement as he spoke to her."Uh Maisy?"
Maisy snapped out of her day dream.
"Huh?"
"So you gone come?"
" Um come where?"
"Look just let me come pick you up tomorrow night? Just be ready. I'll be here around 9 to get you. Dress up. Do something to your hair. Just come out and have fun for once in your life."
Maisy grabbed Weston's phone and put her number in it. Then turned and walked away.
Weston smiled and watched her as she walked away. Little did she know Weston always adored her.
