-back at hogwarts-

harry's owls flies onto our table as we study for our many tests. lex stands near hedwig. "look at you playing with your cards. pathetic." hermione says. "we've got final exams coming up soon." i say. "i'm ready. ask me any question." ron says. "all right, what's the three most crucial ingredients in a forgetfulness potion?" hermione asks. "..i forgot." ron says. "and what do you plan to do if this comes up in the final exam?" hermione asks. "copy off you?" ron says. "no you won't. besides, according to professor mcgonagall we're to be given special quills bewitched with an anti cheating spell." hermione says. "that's insulting! it's as if they don't trust us!" ron says.

neville comes hoping into the great hall. "leg-locker curse?" ron says. "malfoy." i say. neville hops over to us. "you have got to start standing up to people neville." i say. "how? i can barely stand at all!" he says. "i'll do the counter curse!" seamus says. "no! that's all i need, you to set my bloody kneecaps on fire!" neville exclaims. "i don't appreciate the insinuation longbottom. besides, if anyone cared to notice my eyebrows have completely grown back!" seamus exclaims and turns away. we all giggle at the large chunk of missing hair in the back of his hair. i smile and pull out my wand. i say the counter curse to the leg locker spell. "thanks." neville says and sits next to me. "have you done much studying?" i ask. neville shakes his head. "i could help you if you'd like." i say smiling. the trio gets up and walks off. "wait guys where are you going?" i ask but they don't hear me. "well, actually that would be really helpful." neville says. i smile. "i'll test you first to see what you know."

-later-

i slowly wake up as i head the door to the common room shut. i look over to hermiones bed and see her missing. "bloody hell. those three are always leaving me out." i say and get out of bed. i throw a sweater on. "after all i've done for them!" i say and walk down to the common room. "i hate this bloody school. and my bloody 'friends'." i mumble walking down the stairs. i sigh seeing the common room dark and empty. to be fair it was already one am. " i bet they've gone off and gotten themselves in trouble." i mumble.
