“You have absolutely got to be kidding me?” I whisper yelled as the gorgeous man… uh, I mean idiot walked in.

He immediately recognized me after my outburst because his eyes widened a fraction before his hideous scowl returned to his gorgeous face. “What in God’s name are you doing here?” I send him a nasty glare which made him smirk.

“I should be asking you that not the other way around?” he retorted, his deep husky voice resonating around the small hospital room.

I rolled my eyes waving a dismissive hand at him before turning toward the window. “None of your business and could you please use your inside voice. A baby is trying to sleep here.”

A throat clearing grabbed my attention, “Uhmm, do you guys know each other?” Brett wagged a finger back and forth between us.

Before I could reply, said idiot quickly answered. “I wouldn’t exactly say know but yes she,” he jabbed his thumb to my direction, “is the sole and annoying reason I’m late.”

Scoffing, I rolled my eyes at him, turned to Brett and Angie, ignoring him before narrating the whole thing to them. “While rushing to get to the meeting with the investors,” I look to Brett and he nodded, waved a hand at me to continue and I did, “I accidentally rammed into the car of this idiot,” jabbing my finger at him like he did to me I resume, “I gave or rather tried to give him my insurance card to get his car repaired but he decided to be completely rude and wasted time that I didn’t have.”

Said idiot fully turned to me, an unreadable expression on his face, raised his finger with just his thumb out, he said, “First of all, I am not an idiot. Second, my name is Andrew love, so you can drop the nickname. And third, we’re going to be Godparents to that beautiful baby in your arms so we might as well try to be friends.”

“You can drop the Love shit, my name is Cilla.” I internally cringed.

He chuckled lightly about to reply before my phone ringing cut him off. I quickly reached for my phone to silence it as not to wake Rora up before handing her to Andrew and walking out of the room to answer the call.

“George.” I sighed out, happy to hear from him, “You will not believe who I just bumped into?”

“Is it a handsome hunk?” he rushed out. I rolled my eyes at his silly attempt at hoping I got into a relationship. He had been on my neck about it, following the issue of contacting my parents.

Andrew was really good looking but I was never admitting that to my crazy best friend. “I wish. It’s Andrew, the idiot whose car I bumped into at the café and he knows Brett an…”

He cut me, “Where exactly are you?”

“I’m at the hospital, Angie just gave birth and I rushed here after my meeting only to find out that Andrew and I are going to be Godparents to Brett’s daughter, can you imagine how crazy that is?”

“Oh, he said he’d been on his way there,” he muttered unintelligibly. I scrunched my eyebrow up, wondering what he was on about. ”What do you mean, who was goi…” he cut in before I could finish.

“How’s the baby?” he asked instead.

“George! What the fuck is up with you cutting me off?” I exclaimed, exasperated.

He scoffed and ignored my question and instead decided to repeat his previous question. If he were close, I would have definitely beaten his ass to Africa so I just chose to ignore him and stay silent till it pissed him off.

“Cilla?”  He called out but I stayed silent, scrunching up my face, knowing he couldn’t see me but I didn’t care. “Cilla? Priscilla, I know you can fucking hear me. I hate when you do this shit, it’s so fucking immature.” He hated it and I didn’t give a flying fuck.
