It was three in the morning, and a tiny boy stood directly in front of a toaster. He smiled as he looked to the contraption humans made to toast bread and remembered having jumped on the part humans would use as a lever. He often enjoyed playing with what some humans considered the most mundane things, though often to the dismay of his parents. They were highly traditional and even gave Berry a traditional name, but Berry had found himself to be more like his aunt and uncle. He had often found it humorous, that he was like his cousin's parents and that his cousin was like Berry's own parents.

Stepping past the toaster, Berry noticed the counter had been extensively cleaned the day prior, leaving the surface as slick as ice. An idea formed in his mind as he pulled out his socks. In order to have made it out without upsetting his parents, he had gone in his barefooted pajamas, but Berry smiled as he put his toes in his socks and took one tentative step forward.

As he expected, he slipped on the tiles and nearly fell on his but until he caught himself with his hands and pushed himself forward whilst getting up to his feet. Berry smiled as he realized his idea had worked well, and he began to replicate the skating movements he saw on that site with tons of videos and with the boxy, red and white logo.

After a while, Berry heard the noises of the human family waking up and getting ready for whatever they had that day. The tiny boy smiled to himself as he shrugged--there was little point in trying to get food at that point, but he had a lot of food to spare. As such, he stepped through a small hole behind the microwave that extended to where they were living--under the sink.

Noticing that his parents weren't there, Berry shrugged to himself and made his way up to the sink to make a pool with the sink, a trick one of his friends had taught him once before Berry's parents made him move away. Nevertheless, as he stepped out and looked at the whiteness of the sink, he couldn't help but notice an odd scent...caramel, his mind supplied him after a few moments.

Turning to find the source of the smell, Berry saw that there was a candle on the counter top he was now on, about twice as wide as he was tall and a little bit taller than he was. Berry smiled at the flame before his smile shifted into a more mischievous grin.

"Are you challenging me to a dance-off?" Berry joked to the flickering flame, nearly bursting to laughter with each word. "I must warn you that I've yet to be beaten." The flame, as one would expect, did not respond but merely continued to flicker, which caused Berry to giggle to himself before shrugging. "Your loss then." With those words, the tiny boy named Berry began spinning whilst laughing to himself.
