Error's P.O.V.
~~~~~~~~~~
If Ink dares come in here, I'll kill him.
But seriously, I really don't want to see him right now. It'd just hurt me even more. Maybe I should just go back to hating him? It'd be for the best. It would be less painful that way.
I shove my hands deeper into my jacket pockets and take a few deep breaths.
Then I hear a portal open behind me.
"Go AwAy." I growl, actually thinking about slapping him.
"Do you really want me to?" Ink's voice asks from behind me.
"DiD i StUtTeR?"
"Error. Please. I have questions that need answers."
"Oh ReAlLy?" I say mockingly, turning around to face him. "AnD wHy CoMe To Me Of AlL mOnStErS? yOuR eNeMy? ThE oNe YoU fIgHt wItH? tHe OnE YoU hAtE? tHe OnE wHo HaTeS yOu?"
Stomping past him, I add, "StAy AwAy FroM mE," and I continue on, regretting everything I just said. I have to hate Ink now. If I force myself to, maybe I'll actually start believing it.
Ink's next words are so quiet that they barely register.
"So you really don't remember?"
"WhAt?" I say, stopping dead in my tracks. Then, turning around and striding back towards him. "WhAt DiD yOu JuSt sAy?"
"Ne-never mind," he sniffs. "There's no point in explaining it. Just forget about it."
My heart beats faster. Impossible. Does he really remember?
I decide to question him and find out. "InK, dOeS tHe TeRm 'ErAsEr' RiNg AnY bElLs?"
"Y-yeah?" He answers, confused. "P
"AnD, uH, dO yOu...ReCaLl Me EvEr WaLkInG iNtO a MaSs Of WhItE gLiTcHeS?"
"Yes..." He smiles now, his eyes going bright with tears.
"Error. Do you...remember?"
"YeS. yEs, I rEmEmBeR. oH, tHaNk GoOdNeSs."
Ink, now crying, laughs through his tears.
"Error, I thought...Haha! D-don't scare me like that!"
"InK i...hOW?! I-i ReSeT. i ThOuGhT yOu'D fOrGeT a-AnD—"
"I thought you were dead," Ink breathes out as tears streak down his face. "I really thought you were dead, Error. I was so scared."
"HeY, tAkE iT eAsY. i'M oKaY nOw. We BoTh ArE. eVeRyThInG's GoNnA bE fInE." I hesitate for a moment.
"CoMe HeRe."
Ink does so, tentatively, and I pull him into a hug. I've never really hugged anyone before because of my haphephobia, but for some reason, this is okay.
It's not long before he hugs back.
"G-Glitchy..."
"It'S oKaY," I murmur, leaning into the hug and stroking his skull. "I'm NoT lEaViNg YoU eVeR aGaIn."
"...thank you. Thank you so much."
