-harry's pov-

"nice one james!" sirius praised as i aimed an expelliarmus charm at lucius causing him so drop his wand.

i gave a soft grin to sirius but just before sirius could turn to beam back at me, a green ray of light struck the man I know to be my godfather as he fell through the veil.

suddenly, all went numb. the lights were blurry, my ears were ringing, my face turned pale and I felt like I was missing something. I felt disoriented. my body had gone empty. I felt hallow inside. my brain has yet to process what happened but before I knew it tears started forming in my eyes. finally, I processed what happened. sirius has passed. my only family member is now gone. I have no one.

his death hit me hard and I felt so numb. grief-stricken, my subconscious mind let out a scream of agony. I couldn't think straight and the voice in my head told me to run after him. the only person that kept me from doing so was y/n. she hugged me from the back preventing me from chasing after sirius. I don't know what came on my mind but I punched her in her stomach which caused her to fall from the pain. remus taking over.

"I killed sirius black!"

that pathetic screech echoed in my head as my deadly gaze turned to the person who murdered their own cousin. 

-reader's pov-

harry broke free from remus' grasp and chased after bellatrix as you hastily got back up on tour feet to run after him.

he wasn't in the right mind.

"CRUCIO!" cursed harry.

he had just casted and unforgivable curse. this caused bellatrix to fall down.

he was making his way towards bellatrix who was backing away slowly. his wand pointing at her in a threatening way.

he was about to cast another spell but you tackled him down and snatched his wand away before he could do anything stupid. he struggled to try and get his wand back but you wrestled him and ended up sitting ontop of him. you knew you had to slap some sense into him so that's exactly what you did.

"you know the spell harry. she killed sirius. do it."

you heard a low whisper which sent a chill down your spine. you knew whose voice that was.

you looked back up to bellatrix who was now smirking. you felt a cold and dangerous aura behind you and before you could turn around, harry pushed you aside you snatched his wand back.

"stay back y/n!" he demanded, pointing his wand at him.

"expellia-" harry aimed at him but his wand got flicked away from his hands even before he could cast the spell.

you pushed yourself up and rushed over to infront of harry, protecting him. you backed away from voldemort in which harry copied your actions moving along with you.

"it doesn't hurt, dying." voldemort taunted at the pair.

just then, the wizard you know to be most powerful, appeared through floo transportation.

"it was bold of you to come here tonight tom. the aurors are on their way." dumbledore threatened.

dumbledore signalled both you and harry to evacuate. the both of you wanted to help but was too weak to so instead your helped harry to the side and cuddled tightly with him as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. you ran your fingers through his raven hair as dumbledore and voldemort dueled.

"harry." you whispered.

he lifted his face from your neck and you saw that there was a mixture of blood, sweat and tears on your neck. this made your heart wrench. he's just a boy but he has already gone through so much solely because he is the boy who lived. he didn't choose to be this way.

you couldn't hold back your tears of both sadness and anger. you started sobbing infront of harry. the sight of you crying made him pull you in for a soft, gentle, sweet but salty kiss. the kiss was a mix of both sweet and salty. his tears, blood and sweat mixed in it. you pulled out from the kiss and glared at dumbledore with rage. he put the poor boy in so much danger and as a result tramautizing him. you couldn't help but cry for the boy. you laid your head on his shoulder as he pulled you in closer cuddling together.
