*Alexei's POV*

It was a few days before I went back to class, getting over 'food poisonings' as James said to my brother and I before we had left that next Monday for a full week of classes. Hope and Jacks stopped by every now and then to drop off homework assignments so we didn't fall behind in our classes.

I arrived on my motorcycle with Andrew close behind me. Hope and Jacks were waiting for us near the entrance. I pulled off my helmet and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Girl you lookin fine today" Hope exclaimed. Her once shy demeanor when I first met her melted away and has become one of my first friends here in Oregon.

I rolled my eyes at her as she ran up and embraced me. "I'm always lookin fine" I stated, only meaning it halfheartedly. "Anything exciting happen while i was away?" I asked as we began walking up to the school entry doors.

"Oh nothing too exciting, except everyone has been mildly obsessed with the other new students, the Edwards" she stated as we paused before going inside. There was still a good 30 minutes before school even started so we sat at the stairs in midst of conversation.

"The Edwards?" I tilted my head, a faint memory of the new boy that walked into the classroom that very first day. "Ohhhh, I guess that I got sick before I actually got to meet them" I stated with the shrug of my shoulders.

Hope smiled and nodded. "It's crazy that you and Andrew both got sick, is that a weird twin thing?" She asked.

I chuckled wile looking about the parking lot. "It's been that way since we were little, so yeah, i guess you can say it's a weird twin thing" I replied as I started getting lost in thought. Trying to connect every little piece over what has happened. I turned my head to look at Andrew who was chatting Jacks up like a couple of bro's and I smiled, watching boy's being boys.

Soon the school bell rang and it was off to class. Thankfully I shared most of my classes with Hope, so it was easy to get well adjusted into the routine. Hope and I walked into our AP English class, as Hope took her seat and saved mine while i turned all the homework from the previous week.

"Well I hope you're feeling better" the teacher smiled a warm bright smile as she took my stack of mountain of finished homework. "Wow, you got all of this done?" She said flipping through the papers.

"Couldn't afford to get behind" I said with a shrug and walked over to Hope and took the spot next to her.

Hope giggled as she looked at me. "Well I guess she didn't think you'd get everything done"

I shrugged again and smiled as I settled the English material  on my desk. As the last of the students began shuffling in a cool breeze circled in through the door. I turned to look at Hope, who was looking off in the direction of the door, I followed her eyes to see the same boy I saw in AP Biology. His wavy brown honeyed hair sat perfectly on his head, his bright amber eyes scanning the room as he gently stepped to his seat, in a perfect rhythm.

"That's Elijah" I heard Hope's soft whisper in my ear.

Then those amber eyes met mine. It was like time stopped, and I could barely stop myself from staring, but I manage to break eye contact with a role of my eyes and turned by head to the front.

Classes went by quickly, and I, to my not so good luck, kept seeing Elijah. We had almost the exact same schedule, but everywhere just felt cold now that he was here. I tried my best to ignore him, unlike everyone else.

Finally lunch came around and as I sat with my friends and my brother I finally felt the warmth of the day. "So how's finally returning to civilization?" Jacks cooed at me from across the table.
