"To regret the past, to hope in the future, and never to be satisfied with the present: that is what I spend my whole life doing"

"Today is October 24th, 2017. School just started in the beginning of September. I'm in grade 6 now. Louis is in grade 7." June White wrote in her Diary.
"He left me behind in elementary School to go to middle School. We haven't hung out or even spoken since the summer. I think he's leaving me behind.
" I'm not sure if we will still be friends when I get to middle school, but I hope so. I miss him.
"He has other friends now. I think one of their names is Liam."
June was only four when she met Louis. He was five, so it was inevitable that they would be separated at some point, but they always pushed it to the side. Until the time finally came.
June was sitting on the floor of her sun soaked bedroom, her yellow walls glowing from the sun coming through her window, at the front of her house. She was writing in her green diary, as she always was nowadays.
It was here, on her carpeted floor where ideas usually flowed to her head. Today, none seemed to come, but maybe they would arrive tomorrow.
But for now, supper was ready, and she was being called downstairs by her mother.
June's relationship with her mother was rapidly declining almost by the hour, as well as her fathers'. June is only 10 years old, but that sassy quality to her never left. That leads her mother to regularly get quite annoyed by her daughter. Emily, being fairly wealthy all her life, wanted to have the picture perfect family, for her daughter to look and act perfect and impress the other wealthy mothers in the neighbourhood, but June had other ideas.
As for her father, Barron White, he was never home. Otherwise he was just sleeping, or watching TV and didn't want to be bothered.
It was the fourth time Emily called after her daughter to get her to come down for supper, when she gave up, and walked upstairs to her bedroom anyways.
She swung the door open.
"June White, I have been calling your name for the past 5 minutes. Why are you not downstairs yet- and why are you on the floor? You have a perfectly fine desk to sit at, that me and your father bought for you."
"Mom, I'll have supper later okay? I'm busy." June stood up and walked over to close the door, but her mother wouldn't move.
"Why are you always like this? I made a meal for you, why won't you eat it when its been perfectly prepared?" She asked.
"Just because. Leave me alone." She finally got a hold on the door, and practically pushed her mother out.
"You better be downstairs in 10 minutes." she yelled from the other side of her door.
June didn't answer. She was already back to writing, on her floor.

"Hey June!" Louis waved to her across the schoolyard. She ran to Louis and gave him a big hug. "Whoa" He stumbled backwards.
"I missed you" she said into his shoulder, as he embraced her back.
"It's only been 2 days since I saw you last. Why?" He questioned, and laughed slightly.
"Do I need a reason to miss my best friend?"
