Chapter 6:

I was pretty sure my mouth was hanging open and that my brown eyes were about to leave their sockets and fall to the ground.

“Marco?! The Marco I met less than ten minutes ago? Ten minutes!” I practically yelled at her.

“Yes, honey, Marco is your soul mate. I thought you recognized him. I mean the dream, or your flashback as you should call them, was about him…” She said tentatively, eying me carefully.

I shook my head. “Well, yeah, I kinda recognized him, but, I mean, I’ve recognized every single person that has come in my view for the last 4 hours!”

“Obviously, because they are all part of your past,” she said smiling warmly. “Including me.”

Okay, so now I was really lost.

I massaged my temples. “Listen, I don’t know what is happening right now, but seeing that this is not a dream and not a hallucination, I guess this is real.” Or, I’m slowly losing my mind. “Anyway, you have to explain all this to me!” I told her.

“Of course, baby, you surely are really confused,” Ms.Danielle told me while she gave me a small hug.

Tell me something I don’t know.

“Well, since you want to know something you don’t know, let’s start,” she said giggling, as if snooping around my head and thoughts was funny.

So let the questions begging.

“First of all, who am I?” I asked her while I went to sit at this weird rock. Ms.Danielle smiled and waved her hand in front of me, and suddenly a big green flash appeared and snapped into what seemed like a floating blob, where I could see myself as I baby. I had seen myself with that bright red hair and those light brown eyes a thousand times in my baby photos, always wide open, as if searching for something. In most of my pictures, my parents were holding me, as if afraid to lose me. This vision was different. I was there, alright, as I had always seen me, but this time my parents were not there.  There was this blonde woman holding me, while a blonde man was proudly pronouncing my name: “Sarah”.

Then the vision changed, I was there again, but with other people. It seemed as if it was a century later.

It changed again, and again and again, faster and faster, the vision always showing me, but different people. Every single one said my name. The visions changed until it was the same picture I had hanged in my room. There was my mom, holding me, smiling her perfect teeth; and there was my dad! Smiling proudly, like all the typical fathers. I frowned. All the memories of his departure day came back to me.

Ms.Danielle, reading my mind as always, shook her head.

“Honey, your dad didn’t leave you. He just had to move on, as all of your temporary guardians.”

“Temporary guardians?”

“Yes. You see, when a fallen angel is born again…” she began to explain.
