~Wishes~

"Wish!...Wish!...Wish!" The word traveled yards. Each Periwinkle yelling to the other, processing every aspect of this wish. "WISH INCOMING! THERE'S A WISH!" One would yell to another. Today there had been an influx of wishes. All across the world, all genders, all eyes on the sky tonight.

So many wishes to protect, to solve. So many Stars blowing out to travel down to touch the earth and fulfill these precious dreams. "A wish for Namjoon!... A wish for Joon!... one for Grapey!" The words grew legs and ran to its owner. Almost like a child running to thier parents, hugging the mans legs.

The boy, Grapey sat in his pod. He looked at the earth below him. Darkness and the light of other Star's pods lighting up. He grew fascinated with the image below. How beautiful. He smiled with dimples on full display. People seemed offly interested in Grapey, they always wished on him. Each time someone wished on him, his pods light grew brighter.

In the corner of his eye he saw a door open, a man walked out with a white suit on. The darkness opened a glowing door, and as the man ran, the path his feet created glistened. His feet hit the bridge where when his feet landed on the darkness the imprint of his shoe glowed.

He ran past pod after pod, greeting and smiling at all the Stars working tonight. Grapey sat in his comfortable space, he shuffled around and tapped the watch on his wrist. In front of him a digital screen popped up and he swiped left to see what the time in Seoul was. 11:17 PM. He smiled and stared at the dark clouds pass by. "Night shift here we go." He chuckled at his own joke, thinking it was funny because he was always on a night shift. People don't wish on Stars in the daytime after all, although their pods stay there.

A pod without a Star will stay darkened, once a Star steps into his or hers assigned, personal pod, the whole things glows up. It's a magical feeling for Grapey, it makes him feel special. "Grapey! Grapey!" The boy from before was now panting, his hands on his knees. He stood behind Grapey's pod.

He knocked on the pod and Grapey looked at the cute Periwinkle boy. "Hey Silver. What's up." He opened his pod and turned his body to the Periwinkle with silver hair. "You have a wish Grapey!" Silver smiled, his bunny teeth showing. "Really!?" Grapey squealed. Silver handed him the wish. Grapey took it into his hands, the warmth making his fingers tingle. Wishes were always filled with such passion, with love.

"It's my first one tonight." Grapey touched the wish and the words appeared on the paper. "Thank you Silver." He smiled at Silver and went back to work. "You're welcome hyung!" Silver was gone in a second, delivering more wishes. Grapey inspected the wish.

"I wish...for happiness."

He read it over and over and out loud. He tilted his head to once side, and started the engine of his pod. He was puzzled. "What an odd wish." Grapey waved his goodbye to the Stars next to him. Stars were separated by at least 10 feet. To his left was Strawberry Hobi. "Bye Hobi!" Strawberry Hobi preferred to be called by his name other than his nickname, not that he didn't like it but he thought it was just a little too long.

"Bye Grapey! See you soon!" Hobi waved back. Stars have to complete their wishes to be able to come back to their spot. Not that they'll be replaced but that space will remain blank. It kept scholars confused for a while because it once took Hobi a year to fulfill a wish. But when he came back, well let's just say it was mayhem on Earth.

Grapey made his way to the Earth, but he wasn't that good of a driver, he almost always crashed his pod. His light zipped around and he was off to find the man who'd wished on his Star.

"What did you wish for hyung?" I opened my eyes to see Taehyung standing in front of me awaiting my answer. "Nothing much." I smiled at him. Taehyung, the black haired boy nodded his head in understanding. "Hyung! Hyung! Look!" He tapped my broad shoulders. "LOOK!" I looked up in the sky to see a beautiful shooting star. I held my mouth open. It's... magical. I felt tears fill my eyes and stream down my face. Please make my wish come true. Please.
