Chapter #1

It was a cold afternoon in the city of Chicago, everyone was chatting, cutting hair while slow R&B music playing in the background Calvin walks in the door with a plane expression on his face "Yo Big C. how come Eddie never for hair I've been here since you started running this place?",  Ricky asked the light skinned with baby blue eyes 27 year old man was cutting a customer's hair waiting for Calvin to answer his question "Aye man I don't know really, ask him yourself.", Calvin answered walking to his chair, waiting for a customer to walk in the door, "Hey Calvin can I have a 15 minute break after this customer?", Terri asked while gently evening her customer's hair line making sure it's even, "Yeah but 15 minutes only no later.", Calvin answered straighten up his station in the barbershop, the door to the barbershop opens up with a little bell noise along with it, everyone went silent when the person who was standing in the the front of the barbershop it was Kevin Terri's boyfriend who is a total jack ass by the way, Ricky's baby boy blue eyes made their stare towards the 5'11 ft tall black man, Terri rolled her eyes, Terrie was finished with her customer's hair appointment she aggressively put her hair cut tool down then made her way to the back of the barbershop aka the "private" room Kevin makes his way to the back room Calvin stops him In tracks "Oh hell no where do think your black ass is going?", Calvin asks with his hand on Kevin's chest which was preventing Kevin from proceeding his way towards Terri's direction,  "I'm just here to have a talk with Terri.", there was a very unexpected silence in the small barbershop, Ricky was the one who was wondering the most on what Kevin wanted to talk to Terri about, "Well make it quick I better not catch any thing that's not supposed to be going on in this barbershop or get any reports as well."Calvin saids in a deep tone. Kevin nods in a agreeing gesture he walks in the door to the private room  (locker room) in the barbershop, Calvin made his way to the front of the barbershop he stops in his tracks, "ight you-all can have a 30 minute lunch break, Eddie can I have a few minutes to talk to you. Calvin opens the front doors to the barbershop "I'll be back, Aye Ricky keep an eye out.", Calvin said to Ricky facing towards the back room while opening up the door to the barbershop Ricky nods in a agreeing gesture  Calvin along with Eddie they both made their way out of the front door of barbershop, everyone started to go back to their usual, Eddie made his way outside to have a talk with Calvin.

Ricky went back to cutting his customer's hair, everyone else instead took their 30minute break, loud screaming comes from the back of the room of the barbershop Ricky notices the loud noise from the barbers chit-chatting, surprisingly Ricky was the only one who notices the loud noise Ricky tells his customer to give him a few seconds he's customer nodded in a "yes" gesture, Ricky made his way to the door before he puts his hand on the door-knob He leans close to the door to listen to the loud screaming coming from the other side of the door, Terri screams from the other side of the door, "GET OFF OF ME!!!!, Ricky immediately opens the door to the back room his whole body went into anger and shock mode he couldn't move due to the sight of what he was witnessing, Terri was on the floor crying and screaming Terri, didn't notice Ricky because she was facing the ceiling along with Kevin's hand on Terri's throat, Kevin speaks in a deep voice "You're not going to break up with me even if it's the last thing you do so I'm going to get off this floor, walk out of this little locker room, then your going to walk out of this locker room, back to your little barbershop chair and continue your shift.  And we're going to continue this relationship" Kevin saids while taking his hands off of Terries neck, then made his way off the floor Terri tries to get up from the floor but she stop and stared in the direction where Ricky was standing with balled up fists with a very enraged expression on his face Kevin ask Terri on why she stopped trying to get up from the floor "What the hell are you looking at?", Kevin said in a aggressive tone, Kevin looked at the direction where Terri was looking  "Get your ass out of this shop right fuckin now before I kick your black ass.", Ricky saids in a deep anger voice, Kevin chuckles in a *yeah right* way, while walking up to Ricky, "You threatening me?", Kevin asks Ricky walking up to him, "You take one more step closer to me imma have you wish you never came to this shop.", Ricky saids with his fists still balled up. Terri was able to get up from the old and stained floor she fixes her clothes from the tackle she had gotten from Kevin "Kevin get out!!!", Terri yells at Kevin while pointing at the door.
