12. The In Between

Kageyama waited for the investors.
After about ten minutes Daichi along with Three men.

"Your Tobio Kageyama, right?"

Kageyama nodded.

"We talked to your father about your uncle. He said that he knew he had come here. And was planning on telling the police but everything happened before he had a chance."

Kageyama sat there quietly for a moment before talking.

"Do you guys know where he is ?"Kageyama asked.

"Right now we think he's in the Hotel across the street we sent some officers over there to check. Aizawa asked to go with them."

After that the investors decided to move Kageyama to a different room.

After Kageyama moved to a different room and the investors left Kageyama took Daichi's gun that he had taken. And stared at it. Rationalizing his decision.

He got up and walked out of the room still unsure of what he was doing.

He was walking down the hall when he heard.
"Tobio-Chan...What are you doing?"

A bit stunned he turned and saw Lily behind him. She had tears in her eyes.

"Lily? What are you doing here? I thought you couldn't freely leave?" Kageyama said confused.

He knelt down on the floor. She came closer.
"I came with Kye and Jaxx because something bad happened to Shōyō..." she looked down and spotted the gun that was in Kageyama's hand.
"Why do you have that..." she asked. Her voice sounding afraid.

Kageyama felt tears roll down his face.
"I don't know anymore..."

Suddenly he felt someone kick his back.
He turned and saw Kye.

"If you do anything stupid Jaxx won't be able to save Shōyō. So how about you stop being stupid and give that back to Daichi." He said

Kageyama looked at him and started to cry harder.
"Jaxx is going to help him?" He asked with fear still In his voice.

"Yeah but if you do anything to interfere she won't be able to. So I came here to stop you and I brought Lily." Kye said.

"Tobio-Chan Shōyō will be okay. Please stop being sad." Lily said as she patted his head.

Kageyama stood up trying to calm himself from crying and headed back to the room.

He sat in the bed and the two Ghost children followed him.

"I told you that the lines between life and death were blurred with him before, remember?" Kye said.

"What does that mean?"Kageyama asked worried.

"It means that His string of life is tangled. It's wrapped around too many lives. Some living. Some not." He looked at Lily.
"Jaxx has to untangle them and help him follow his own string back. But one wrong move from anyone that's close to him.... And she won't be able to."
