"i don't understand why he's acting like that. all of the sudden he's acting like he's..."

"jealous?" sunghoon finished jay's sentence for him.

"yeah. but maybe i'm just overreacting. it's impossible he'll get jealous with me and nicholas." jay shrugged.

"right! jungwon doesn't like jay." jake said nodding but after a few seconds he suddenly gasped. "what if jungwon likes nicholas?"

jay glared at the said boy who was just minding his own business. nicholas wasn't really listening that's why when he felt jay's piercing gaze, he was both surprised and confused.

"what? what did i do?" he asked innocently.

sunghoon let out a chuckle while shaking his head. "jake thinks the reason why jungwon is acting like that is because he's jealous of the two of you."

"oh so jungwon does like jay back?"

"no!" jay yelled. "he doesn't. jungwon's jealous because he likes you. which is surprising because bad boys aren't his type as i remember."

"hey, i'm not a bad boy!" nicholas said offended.

"but you look like one. he hasn't even talked to you. why would he like you?" jay pouted like a child. he looks cute but he's raging inside.

nicholas stared at him for a moment before laughing. "all of you are dumb. jungwon doesn't like me."

"then why is he acting like that?"

"why were you acting like that?" daniel asked his bestfriend who was sulking beside him. all curled up in his favorite blanket.

"i don't know! i just get so upset whenever i see them together."

daniel paused, he definitely knows what the reason was. he's just having a hard time accepting him because...

well it's obvious that he likes jungwon. he keeps on making it obvious by always being with him, well aside from being his bestfriend, and doing things for him without jungwon even asking.

jungwon was the only one oblivious about it. he thinks daniel was just doing it because they're bestfriends.

"do you like jay hyung?" he asked after some minutes of silent.

jungwon sat up from lying down on his bed. "i don't know. do i?"

daniel rolled his eyes. "why are you asking me that? you should know that by yourself already." he said in a duh tone. "but as i see it, yes you do."

"maybe i do but it doesn't matter anymore. he's with somebody else already." jungwon let out a sigh.

"why do you keep pushing him away anyways? i know it's not just because you find him annoying."

"daniel i'm scared of people leaving me. what if when i'm already used to having him around he'll suddenly leave me for someone else? i'm just trying to avoid the heartbreak that he could give me."

"what if jay hyung won't do that? i think he really does like you. i don't even think he only likes you, he's so in love. head over heels for you."

why was daniel even trying to push jungwon into making him realize his feelings for jay when he knows he'll get hurt in the end?

well i guess jungwon's happiness matters most to him even if it wasn't with him.

"we can't be sure. we don't know him that well."

"it's because you never give him a chance to know him. come on hyung."

jungwon didn't answer. he just stared at nowhere as thoughts run through his mind.
