Petunia [Luke Hemmings]

05: deal

Madi unleashed Petunia and follows her into the living room. I am still standing in the hallway with Luke and wait for him to take off his jacket and shoes. When he's done that I show him to follow Madi.

"Are you sure that I can come in?" He asks to make sure I am ok with it.

"Yes, silly." I reply and follow him into the living room. Hunter is still in his place, looking at his phone, while Colton greets Petunia and vice versa. Petunia is really exited to meet new people and it's really adorable.

Luke and I stop in the doorway and watch the scene in front of us. He and I are really close and our shoulders touch, but none of us says anything.

"Where does that dog come from?" Hunter asks after he looked up from his phone. Madi looks at her boyfriend and motions towards Luke and I.

Colton and Hunter both turn their heads and look at Luke. Luke raises his hand in a greeting way.

"Luke it is, right?" Colton asks, straightening his position from crouching down and sitting back down on the couch, our bed.

Luke nods and walks into the room. "Yeah, what's your name?" He replies.

"Colton." He says and gives him the once-over. It's no secret that Luke is attractive and I can definitely see Colton agree on that in his thoughts and gladly he doesn't even say anything about it, which I am thankful for.

"Nice to meet you, Colton." Luke tells him.

"You too, Luke."

"Hun, staring is rude." Madi tells Hunter, who's still looking at Luke suspiciously.

"Right," he clears his throat. "Hunter it is." He introduces himself. Giving him a greeting nod, Luke says hello.

"So," I starrt, not quite knowing what to do now.

"You wanna finish the movie with us?" Madi saves me, making me exhale relieved.

"Sure, what are you watching?" He asks, gladly Luke isn't a shy person and is confident enough for both, me and him, in this kinds of situations. If I was him, I would be all quiet and taken aback.

"'I see you'." I tell him, walking towards the kitchen to get a bowl of water for Petunia, who's still excitedly sniffing Madi.

"Oh, I've already seen that one." He states. "It's good though."

Madi sits back in her place next to Hunter, who's putting an arm around her protectively. It's not like Luke is a competitor for him, because first of all; Madi doesn't like Luke like that, second of all; he is too old anyways and third of all; he is her boyfriend and she would never cheat. But deep down Hunter is insecure and feels threatened easily.

Petunia walks back to Luke as the three are back in their places on the couch. "Just sit down, imma get a bowl with water for this little lady." I tell him, showing Petunia to come and follow me.

"I can help you." He almost immediately replies and follows me into the kitchen.

"We'll wait for you then!" Madi yells after us. I ignore her and get out a bowl from one of the shelves.

Luke leans against the counter and watches me. "Thank you." The words make me look over my shoulder as I fill the bowl with water.

"No problem, Luke." I tell him and turn off the water, putting the water down soon after. Petunia immediately starts drinking and I walk over to lean against the counter next to Luke.

"Did you just come home from the studio?" I ask him, seeing the dark rings underneath his eyes. "You look tired."

"Yeah, it's been a long day and I had to ask my friend Sierra to take Pig. I am glad that she had the time, because she is busy a lot too and I don't feel good with leaving her with someone that I don't trust." He tells me, his voice quiet and his exhaustion obvious.
