Hermione's POV

"Harry? What the hell are you doing mate?" Ron cut into Hermione and Harry's conversation causing Hermione to roll her eyes and begin to flip her blades in her hands again.

"Yeah Harry, was she threatening you?" Lavender said, honey sap sweetness spilling into her voice, "Remember, a bitch's bark is worse than her bite."

"But a snakes hiss is full of venom." Hermione said back as quick as lightning as her friends sniggered behind her. The Gryffindors were taken aback for a moment but gathered themselves quickly.

"Your all evil." Ron said, glaring at them weakly.

"And?" Draco said, not taking his eyes off of a book he was reading.

Ron sputtered a bit before huffing in frustration, he was putting everything into this argument and the Slytherins just didn't care. Hermione had returned to the oak, leaning against its dark wood as little green flames danced at the tip of her wand.

He noticed Pansy Parkinson looking up at Hermione every so often with eyes filled with... love? no that can't be, death eaters don't have feelings.

"Hey pug face, whats with the heart eyes." Ron teased at the short haired girl who merely looked back at her sketchpad and said.

"At least I look at a person with heart eyes and not inanimate food."

Hermione flicked her wand and suddenly Ron's fingers turned to sausages and his nose into a stout carrot. Lavender screamed and ran from the hill, she didn't want anything to happen to her own face. The rest fo the Gryffindors followed soon after in fear but Harry alone remained.

"That was amazing," He said through his own laughter "But I'm gonna need a counter curse for that."

Hermione flicked her wand again and a bottle appeared at Harry's feet, he thanked her and ran down the hill after the screaming ginger boy.

...

"HOGWARTS."

Dumbledore silenced the great hall just as they were about to dig into their feast, his face was grave anyone with eyes could see that.

"I must inform you that 'he who must not be named' has been seen lurking around the area of Hogwarts, if anyone has indeed seen Voldemort or may see him or any of his followers you must report it immediately. Now feast,"

The rest fo the great hall looked warily at the Slytherin table where a certain group of pureblood were smirking into their goblets.

Hermione threw a look as dangerous as one of her knives and many shrieked and looked away much to her amusement.

"Whats should we do tomorrow then?" Theo asked his friends.

"Hogsmeade?" Draco proposed.

"Remember, we're not allowed off grounds yet, those are the rules." Daphne reminded them.

"Since when do we care about rules." Hermione said as she blew a strand of hair out other face.

Suddenly the entire room went still aside from them. Some students stopped moving halfway through taking a bite of an apple or getting up to go to their houses but they had all frozen. Hermione rolled her eyes slightly and turned to the great big podium at the front of the hall.

"Always a one for dramatics weren't you my lord."

She said to the darkly clothed wizard standing where Dumbledore had just been. The wizards eyes widened slightly in amusement before speaking to the death eaters children.

"You called for me Ms Lestrange?" He said looking towards Hermione.

"I requested an audience with you my lord on the case of Harry Potter," She said confidently, "He wishes to speak with you."

"And why pray tell does he wish to speak with me?" The dark lord said with an unwavering voice, "Does he not believe I murdered his 'family'"

"Oh he does but he needs to be... how do I say this, enlightened."

Voldemort was silent for a moment, studying his favourite student. Eventually he gave in, to Hermione's delight.

"I will speak to mr Potter when he wishes." He said as Hermione shouted out with glee.

"Thank you my lord." She said bowing excitedly to the darkly clothed wizard as he dissaperated and she turned back to her friends.

"This'll be fun." Blaise said as his friends smiled. Soon they'll be welcoming fresh blood into their 'children of death eaters' group. Hermione couldn't ignore the gleeful look on Draco's idea at the prospect of Harry Potter joining them.

Blaise was right, this will be fun.
