Present time...
For the past few weeks, Clover couldn't get his new huntsman partner out of his head. One, he's a great fighter; two, he's insanely handsome; and three, he's so easy to talk to despite being so shy and guarded. Though, that's not the only reason he couldn't stop thinking about him. On their first mission together, Clover noticed a very familiar looking charm hanging off of the leather bracelet on Qrow's wrist. A charm he thought he would never see again.
"Hey, ummm...did you ever have a pet bird? A crow?" Clover asked as the two wandered around the abandoned dust mines, keeping a close eye out for Grimm.
"No, why?" Qrow replied.
"Uh, n-no reason. Just curious." Clover said rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
An awkward silence sets in between them.
"Sooo...where'd you get that charm? It doesn't really fit your whole...aesthetic." Clover asked.
"Oh, this? Someone special gave it to me...it's my good luck charm." Qrow answered.
"I thought I was your good luck charm?" Clover gasped, feigning offense.
"Haha...y-you are." Qrow chuckled, a soft pink blush creeping up on his cheeks.
"D*mn, his blush is beautiful." Clover thought.
"Clover...there's something I gotta tell you." Qrow said seriously.
"What is it?" Clover replied, giving Qrow his full attention.
"I.....LOOK OUT!" Qrow said, before suddenly shoving Clover out of the way of a pouncing Grimm.
Instead, Qrow is the one pinned down by the Grimm. Before Qrow could activate his aura, the monster bites his arm, tearing flesh and breaking bone.
"AHHHHHH!" Qrow screamed in pain.
"Qrow!" Clover shouted, scared for his partner's life.
He takes out Kingfisher and casts its hook out towards the Grimm. The line wraps around the Grimm's head, then he pulls at it, pulling the Grimm off of Qrow. The Grimm then sets its sights on Clover and lunges towards him. Qrow quickly grabs Harbinger and slices the Grimm in half. When the Grimm had dissipated, Qrow collapses to the ground, holding his severely injured arm. Clover rushes over to Qrow and looks him over. His arm was bleeding way too much, at this rate, he was going to bleed out. Clover calls for emergency medical assistance while he ties his red armband around Qrow's upper arm to use as a tourniquet.
"Hang in there, Qrow, help is on the way." Clover told him, hanging Qrow's weapon onto his back.
He picks up Qrow and carries him out of the mines.
"You don't need to carry me. My arm is hurt, not my leg." Qrow grumbled.
"Qrow, you're in shock and bleeding. You're not in any condition to be walking." Clover said carrying Qrow onto the emergency medical airship.
The medical professionals immediately begin to treat Qrow's arm once he's on board. They stop the bleeding and put it in a splint to immobilize it. Then a nurse pulls out a big syringe with a huge needle. Qrow freezes, growing paler and wide eyed, gripping the cot he was laying on tightly.
"W-what the f**k is that for?" Qrow asked, voice trembling with fear.
"Grimm bites are very dangerous, sir. You're at high risk of infection if we don't inject you with these antibiotics." the nurse explained.
