She was shocked. Shocked and hurt.

Automatically her eyes were filling with water but she tried not to let them out.

Natsu let his hand sink slowly.
He didn't know what to do.

Why did he do it?

Because his parents always punished him when he was not behaving?

Because his father always beat him up when he did something wrong?

Or was he just a bad person?

Is it his fault?

Why, why did he do it?

Why did he hurt her?

Because she hurt him first.

Because she said she wants to be free from him.

Because she wants to leave him.

Everyone wants to leave him.

He was angry and sad, his eyes were watery too but he would never let them fall out.

He knew he shouldn't have done that.

After seeing her hurt expression, he immediately regretted it.

It was his nature.

He was an aggressive person.

But he never laid his hands on a woman before.

Especially not women he cared about.

She was right, he was a bad person.

But she can't leave him. Everyone, but not her.

She is the only one who truly cares for him, he thought so at least.

His friends are gonna leave him sooner or later.
If things get complicated, they will all leave.

He will have to punish them all by then.

His family left him.

His adoptive parents left him.

His big brother left him.

The only one who stayed with him was his little sister Wendy.

But he wouldn't be surprised if she would leave soon as well.

What can he do?

It's his nature.

It's probably his punishment for whatever he did in his past life.

The punishment that everyone leaves him, no one likes to stay with him, no one can handle him, no one can love him.

She was right.

His sight was blurry, he couldn't hear anything anymore.

Natsu immediately woke up after hearing someone closing the door.

He was already ready to fight until he realized it was his friend, Gray, that stood in front of him.

„You feeling better, flame brain?" The black haired guy asked as he sat down on a chair next to the bed.

„Where is she?" Natsu asked.

„Who?" Gray asked dumbfounded.

„Lucy, you jackass." He was getting impatient.

„You mean the girl you like so much for whatever reason? You'll never believe what happened after you fainted, bro. Even I was shocked." He smiled a little while remembering.

„Just spit it out already." Natsu demanded.

„Sure, sure." He said and continued.

„The girl didn't run away after you fainted. In fact, she ran downstairs and asked for help. I never saw anyone looking that worried before, you know. I don't know how you brainwashed her but even after we told her you're alright now, she didn't run away. She didn't even try to. Before you ask, she's in the room next to yours. I have to go now, make sure not to mess it up with that chick." He explained, tapped Natsus shoulder and went out.

The pinkette was having a rollercoaster of emotions right now.

She didn't leave him.

It was the perfect chance for her to leave.

Yet she stayed, brought help and was even worried about him.
He even slapped her before that.

Why did she stay?

His heart was beating like crazy.

Before he could do or think anything else anymore, he ran out of the room and entered the other room, where she was staying at.

Lucy was peacefully sitting on the guest bed, reading a book.

The sound of the door getting opened made her look up and she stared at him in surprise but also relief.

Before she could even say a word, he stormed right towards her and tackled her to the bed, hugging her intensively.

„Why didn't you leave?" He breathed out.

„Who else is gonna cure your loneliness?" She whispered.

He only hugged her tighter.
