Natsu's P.O.V

Jude arrived at my mansion.

Just now he was brought to my office by Loke and Gray.

On the way his eyes got covered and of course they examined him if he had any cameras or weapons with him.

His eyes got covered because no one except for other trusted clans are allowed to know where I live or more importantly- where Lucy is.

Lucy wanted to be there while talking.

Honestly, I don't know if that would be a good idea.

But I don't want to make her more pissed at me than she already is.

And even if she decides to go back with him, as if I let her.

But deep down...I just hoped that she didn't want to go back and that she wanted to stay with me instead.

I really hoped so.

Narrator's P.O.V

Both the blonde and her boyfriend entered his office.
Lucy was shaking.

She was afraid to meet her father again.

Natsu noticed it, laid his arm on her shoulders and pulled her closer to him.

Jude turned around.

Lucy almost forgot to breathe until Natsu squeezed her shoulder a little.

They just stared each other until Natsu broke the silence first.

„Take a seat, Heartfilia. This is gonna be an interesting talk." Natsu smirked and sat down on his own chair, letting Lucy stand next to him.

He was about to pull her on his lap but she made it clear that she didn't want to in front of her father by glaring at him.

Jude sat down as well.

„You know why I am here, Mr. Dragneel." Jude said sternly.

„No...why?" Natsu grinned, making the older man angry.

„I want my daughter back." He just said.

„What makes you think I'm gonna give her back to you?" Natsu asked, raising his eyebrow, still having a provoking smirk on his face as he leaned back on his seat.

„You probably already got what you wanted. I will give you the remaining money and in return I'll get my daughter back." Jude said.

Lucy clenched her teeth.

„How do you know I already got what I wanted? Do you even know what I wanted in the first place? How do you know I'm going to be satisfied after just a few weeks? What makes you believe that deals work like that? You give me something and just want it back like that? No amount of money can break any deal I make." The young leader was serious now, clearly being the more dominant one.

It obviously intimated Jude, he was out of words.
After a while he spoke again.

But this time his attention was on Lucy, not on Natsu.

„Lucy...I-" Natsu interrupted him immediately.

„No one speaks to my people without my permission." The pinkette coldly scoffed.

„I want to hear my daughters opinion on this..." Jude said.

Natsu began to laugh loudly, startling both father and daughter.

„Alright alright, if you want to know the opinion of the daughter you have sold- go on! Lucy, tell him your opinion." He tried to calm down and pointed at Lucy so she would begin to talk.

The blonde hesitated at first but then began to talk slowly.

„Why would you do that, dad?" She just asked while looking at the ground.

„I had no choic-" Lucy interrupted him.

„You had the choice to chose between selling me and your company. And we both know which one was more important to you." She was getting angry.

She didn't even let Jude talk as she continued her speech.

„Can you imagine how I felt? How I still feel like? My own father sold me. The only family I had sold me to someone as a PROSTITUTE. What does that mean? Am I that worthless? Do I deserve to be treated like an object? That can be tossed around by anyone? Did I really deserve to be sold, dad?" She asked but she didn't need an answer from him.

Natsu stopped smiling.

„No, you don't. I-" Lucy didn't let him finish.

„Obviously I did. Otherwise I wouldn't be here. Otherwise none of us would be here. You let me come here and you knew what was gonna await me. You knew what would happen to me. Yet you still didn't do anything. You didn't even inform the police. Because you knew you would get in trouble as well for gambling. You didn't do anything to help me because you only care about yourself, your reputation and your money! You only want me back now because people are probably asking for me! You don't want to be portrayed as a bad father or as a bad person! You can't tell them lies any longer which is the only reason why you showed up a month after! And I'm sure that you don't even have the money to pay him back! You're lying! You want to give him something else instead, am I right? Is it a new slave you have found for him?" She didn't make a single pause while talking.

Natsu was directly looking at Jude, watching every emotion and every movement.

„N-".

„I won't go back to you. Tell your business partners that you've sent me away to study somewhere else. I don't want to go back to someone like you. No matter how bad I get treated here- it's still better than to live with a father who doesn't love you at all!" Tears began to fall as she talked.

„Lucy!" Jude was speechless.

She would rather stay with a mafia than with her own father.

„Mom would have been so disappointed, dad. I hope she's on a vacation in heaven or whatever! I don't want her to see the man she loved treating his and her own daughter like that! Go back now!" She almost yelled.

Natsu stood up.

„It was nice talking to you, Heartfilia. Goodbye." He said and informed Gray and Loke to take him back.

Almost immediately they arrived and dragged him outside, covering his eyes again.

Lucy was now silently crying by herself.

Natsu walked over to her and hugged her gently, stroking her hair with each sob.

She was holding onto him as if he was the only life support she had.

And he was.

„I'm never going to make you sad like he did, Lucy." Natsu whispered.

„Promise?" She sobbed with a broken voice.

„Promise." He said.
