"hey, sexy boys." hyunjin jogged over to the two boys in a heated discussion about anime characters. he threw his long arms over their shoulders.

"may I say how breedable you two look today?"

"no, you may not." seungmin groused, pushing his arm off dismissively.

hyunjin and Felix briefly shared eye contact, silently agreeing that he would eventually get used to it.

"what do you want anyway? And no, I won't lend you my gym shorts again. why were you wearing it the whole day last week?"

"hey, jisung said I couldn't do the splits. And I had money riding on this, okay." he drew his arms back. "Anyway, I wanted to ask you guys if you've seen him around? he didn't turn up to history class."

the boys shook their heads. "Nope. We haven't seen Haru either, and she's always here for the alphabet in maths."

"do you mean algebra?"

"Hmm." hyunjin stroked his chin in contemplation. "maybe they both skipped school together or something now that they're friends."

from the corner of his eye, seungmin caught a glimpse of Felix, letting out a sharp scoff. a green annoyance written all over his face. His hatred and jealousy of Jisung slowly became less subtle.

"who knows? they're probably in school somewhere." he grinned, reassuring the two to ease any possible absurd worries. "I'm sure they're nearby."

In one moment, Haru and Jisung were in the storage room, and the next, they found themselves three feet in the air, surrounded by the beauty of nature. The luscious green trees, stunning, serene river and lovely blue sky. What made falling better was simply falling into a small river stream.

Their terrified screams echo through the open field, soon drowned out by the loud, painful splash as they plummet into a shallow creek.

"ow."

jisung didn't intend to teleport them to the middle of the public park. It was an accident, and he swears on Hyunjin's life.

While they were previously hiding in the janitor's room, his panicked mind hurriedly asked if he could momentarily hold haru's necklace.

Despite how strange his favour may have seemed, she still handed it to him cautiously. She somewhat trusted him to some extent until he opened her locket, began fiddling with the analogue clock hidden within, and started muttering to himself like a crazy scientist.

"it opens. i knew it." he whispered. "just like his but advanced. way more advanced, wow. carbon fibre."

"Hey, what are you doing?" she frowned, trying to snatch her necklace back, but jisung was unwilling to let go.
