Chapter 5: The Explanation

Janes POV

Rylan offered to drive Hugh and Jade home or drop Hugh off with him and Jade with me.

How sweet of him to do that for me. I say yes and Jade just gives me a sigh of disgust of, why are we riding with the user, look and sigh.

Rylan knew Jade hated him and he hated her, but in a good way though.

She always would depend on him when no one else would or when Hugh was too busy cheating on her because she dosent know.

Rylan was acting different because he never buys me jewelry, now he is, he is also starting to hang out with Hugh and talk to him, NO ONE DOES EXCEPT JADEN!!

I just think that he must be planning something for me and him only. He must be. He must.

Jade is in the back of the car with her legs crossed and Hugh is also back seat with Jade slouching showing 1/4 of his 6 pack.

Uhhh. Hes soooo ugly. How can Jade possibly love him, the cheater, the user, the liar, the fake. 

I ask Rylan one thing that has been at the top of my mind since he bought me a ring bracelet, " Whats the matter? You buy me something and your giving my friend and I a ride. What's up?"

He stops the car and me and him are silent. All I heard was Jade and Hugh mumbling about how they love each other.

His eyes are locked with his and his are glistening. His eyes are beautiful. He leans over with his hand on my cheek. He kisses me passionately with feeling.

I talk during the kiss saying I love you.

He murmurs breaking his soft kiss, I love you too.

He shuffles back to the drivers seat with his eyes locked with mine. He drives with silence to my house.

He opens his door and walks to the passenger door where I was. We walk out of the car to open Jades door.

He grabbed my hand to hold me back. I asked in a sweet but curious voice, " Babe? What?"

He starts to answer the question. He says, " I have things going on at home. And I love you. And I want Jade to not think of me of what her past was."

I stare into his eyes and look away quickly to open Jades door.

She walks out after talking to Hugh and we walk to my door. Rylan ran after me.

He kissed me passionately again and walked off.

Jade looked at me with awe. I just looked ashamed of the entire fiasco.

She only snaps out of it by saying, " Guess he dosent use if he loves you and buys you jewelry and wants to ACTUALLY wants to be friends with me. Im sorry. Can you drive me home please. I need to explain to mum."

I nod and we grab my keys to my Dodge Charger and walk out the door.

Jades POV

Im talking to Hugh with my legs crossed with his until the car jolts to a stop and my head hits his chest.

He looks at me and chuckles because my hair in my face. My blonde and red highlighted hair is scattered like cards on my face.

I pull my hair back and we continue chatting about how we love eachother quietly because Rylan and Jane are in a moment.

I hold on Hugh to see whats going on with Jane and her baby.

I look to see him lean over with his hand on her face. His lips land on hers and shes on complete shock. She murmurs during the kiss saying I love you. He does the same.

Like, do they even know we are here. Is it like we are in outer space or what?

She and him lock eye contact as he goes back to his Mustang seat and drives us off to Janes house.

Hugh and I also sit in complete scilence like Jane and Rylan. We, for the second time jolt to a stop but not in the middle of the backroads, it's Janes house.

Rylan walks out of the mustang and walks over to Janes door. He opens it slowly and she reaches for my side of the door.

I wait until someone stopped her, Rylan grabbed her hand. All I hear from the entire conversation was him mentioning my name.

He said he wanted to ACTUALLY to be my friend. I think about what Im gonna say until Jane opens the door.

We walk to her front porch to all of a sudden Rylan is yelling Jane over and over again. Jane opens the door for me and Rylan.grabs her and kisses her passionately.

He then leaves.

I ask her to drive me home to my mums and she grabs the keys to her Dodge Charger. She and I walk out to the driveway with her and hop in the passenger seat calling Shotgun.

She and I drive to mums silently. I get bored easily so I go ahead and turn on Superheroes by The Script on the ratio. Its Janes favorite song so I turn to see her singing along.

She stops and drops me off. I walk to my front door and I walk in. My mom isn't home so I leave a note on the kitchen table noting that I went to the mall to clear things off my mind.

I took some head medicine and went to bed.
