Wake Up, Procrastinate, Repeat

My alarm was blaring next to me and-

Yeah, no. We're not doing that. I have no alarms set, my phone is and always will be on silent.

I woke up because my back and neck are hurting after sleeping for ten hours straight, and if we're being honest, I could sleep even longer if I wanted to.

But no, I need to be productive or whatever.

Sure.

After I get down from my bunk bed, I head straight for the bathroom. It's my morning ritual.

Get down, go to the bathroom, wash my face, do whatever I need to do, and then go to the living room, sit on the couch, and check Instagram.

While on the couch checking out the latest posts, I'll tell myself: "Hey, I need to finish my homework today, I'll do it right now so that I can have the rest of the day free."

Sike! That never happens.

You bet that if I have a class at 7 pm, I will finish that homework at 6:55. Every damn time.

Procrastination is really ingrained in my brain because no matter how organized I try to be (I even bought a 2020 planner) I can't shake off the habit of doing things at the last minute.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that does things like this.

And if I am, you're all lying.

My day will consist of watching my favorite Youtubers, browsing Netflix for the next series I'm gonna obsess over, and checking Instagram and Twitter constantly.

Oh, and opening that PowerPoint I know I need to finish but leaving it there as a constant reminder that hey! I need to finish that!

It's a vicious cycle that's part of my daily life.

Can I change it? Can I break the cycle? Of course, I can!

But yeah,

I'll do it tomorrow.
