5.10: ABANDON ALL HOPE...

Kendall stares out at the lake, inhaling deeply and letting out a slow exhale. Other than Dean chatting on the phone with Cas, who's tailing the demon Crowley to get the location of his house, the lakeside is quiet. Ever since they hit up the Supernatural Convention and Becky told them that Crowley's the one that has the Colt, Kendall's felt lighter than she ever has. All the searching they'd done, and the info just falls into their lap.

Not any type of luck Kendall's used to, but she'll take it. Because this is as close as they've been to stopping the Devil. Kendall can feel it.

Sam comes over to her then, and she turns away from the lake to see him release an exhale of his own

Sam comes over to her then, and she turns away from the lake to see him release an exhale of his own. "Second thoughts," she asks, angling her body towards him.

He considers this for a second, glancing over his shoulder at Dean, still on the phone. Sam shakes his head, stare returning to Kendall. "Haven't had any of those in a while. You?"

"Nah," she answers. There's no room for second thoughts in her mind when they've come this far. "Not even a little."

The corner of Sam's mouth lifts and his gaze remains fixed on Kendall as he opens his jacket. Slowly, he reaches into his inner pocket and removes Ruby's knife, offering it to Kendall handle first.

Kendall holds up her hand and, as Sam places the knife gently in her palm, he says, "Would you believe me if I told you this is the most faith I've ever had?"

Kendall covers Sam's hand with her other one, not breaking eye contact as she nods once. "Only if you believe it's warranted. We're too close for anything less Sam."

A full-on smile spreads across Sam's face now, confident in the face of danger as Kendall pockets the knife. "Then let's make this count."

At Crowley's mansion, a giggling Kendall staggers up to the gate with a half empty bottle of Jack Daniel's. She presses the intercom, hiccupping before she speaks in a slurred voice, "Yeah, hello? McDonald's? I'm not in a car, but can you still take my order? Because I'm starving and I want a Big Mac, hold the special sauce."
