Chapter 14: A Super Soldier

"When do you think she'll wake up?" 

"Soon. It won't be long." 

Isabella's POV

I was on a boat, it was calmly rocking me back and forth. It felt pleasant, a breeze blew my hair behind me. I stared out at sea, it was a beautiful light blue. I wanted to jump in and touch the white sand on the bottom. It was warm but not too hot. I had on a light airy sweater that let the breeze still touch my skin. I was at the front end of the boat staring out, still debating about jumping in when I realized I wasn't alone on the sail boat. A voice had spoken from behind me but I hadn't noticed. 

"Pardon?" I asked without turning around, I couldn't take my eyes off the sea. 

"It's beautiful isn't it?" I recognized James's voice and I smiled to myself. 

"Yes, I just want to dive in." 

"If you dive in I might lose you." He said. 

I was confused but I accepted that I wasn't supposed to swim in the sea. He took my hand and my heart accelerated, his thumb was drawing circles on my hand. I smiled. 

"Did we escape SHIELD?" I asked hoping this wasn't just a vacation. 

"A long time ago," He said sadly. "You don't remember?" 

I shook my head no and his face dropped. 

"Why don't I remember?" I asked. 

"I don't know. Do you even know how old we are now?" 

"I'm sixteen and you're seventeen," I said without hesitating then I saw the look on his face, "right?" 

He shook his head with a look of grief on his face. He took my left hand and showed me my ring finger. It had two platinum rings on it. "You're twenty and I'm twenty one. We're married, you're pregnant." 

"What?" I looked down to see the small baby bump he had referred to. "Why don't I remember?"

"I don't know." He said sadly shaking his head.

"I'm only twenty and i'm married and expecting a baby?!" I was in a state of shock and confusion. I backed up towards the front end of the boat again. 

"You remembered this yesterday. I don't understand... you were happy." He said. 

I shook my head in denial about any of this. I looked back towards the sea, I felt like it was calling to me to jump in. 

"NO, don't go into the sea, please. I can't bare to lose you." 

"I'm sorry." I said as I dove into the warm water. 

I awoke with a start and gasped for air. I was back in the lab, I quickly touched my stomach to make sure it was just a dream and sighed with relief. There were wires attached to my head and tubes in my arms. Dr. Banner came over and smiled. 

"That dream was supposed to be pleasant for you, didn't you like it?" 

I felt my face turn bright red in embarrassment. "No." I said simply not wanting to divulge much detail. "Why am I hooked up to all these wires?" I asked wanting to change the subject. 

"To monitor your brain activity, turns out you have telekinetic powers. Loki has really changed your brain. Usually we only use a small percentage of our brain but he's unlocked a bit more of yours with that serum." 

I still felt awkward and embaressed about the dream so I didn't feel like saying much. "Okay so why am I still here then?" 

"Because every time you get scared or angry you keep launching objects at people, people who don't want to hurt you."
