"Vi! You will never just guess who I ran into!" Amelia's voice rang throughout the room, "Calum Hood."

And I couldn't believe it for the small reason that I had no clue on who that it. Although his name did sound familiar.

"Oh geez, you don't even--" Amelia paused and sighed, "Calum Hood is the bassist for the band we're seeing. Plus he sings."

I sat down, with Amelia at my side, and listened to her talk about the boy she had just ran into. I nodded here and there so that she even knew I was listening to her.

But after a few minutes three other kids showed up. One boy, and two girls. It seemed that the two girls were viciously flirting with the one guy. And I instantly knew why. This band must be a chick magnet, so any guy who liked them too was instantly "hot". Even Amelia stopped to turn and look at the boy.

My eyes locked with his for a split second as the three of them came and sat down around Amelia and I.

"I'm Elizabeth," said a blonde, sitting to the left of the boy.

"And I'm Brandi," said the girl with black hair sitting to the right of the boy.

It was after their introductions that I made eye contact with the boy in the middle.

"And I'm Ivan," he said without hesitation.

It took me another moment, while Amelia was introducing herself, for me to introduce myself.

"I'm Vivian," I said softly, "But you can call me--"

I was interrupted by the door swinging open and three boys waltzing right in. One was blonde. The other had dark brown hair. And the third had red hair and his smile sorta made me want to soar on cloud nine.

"Hey everyone! What's happening?" The boy with the blonde hair nearly yelled, coming over and sitting by us.

By this point in time I knew that these three guys were the band members and I had no idea who was who.

Thank God Amelia was beside me and whispered each other their names to me, pointing to each one as she did.

"How's everyone doing today?" Ashton asked, removing a pair of drum sticks from his back pocket before he sat down beside me.

Me of all people.

The five of us told them our responses of how our day was going and in return they gave us their responses.

After that we all got pictures with all the boys, but Amelia seemed more than upset.

"Where's Calum?" Amelia asked boldly. I knew Calum was her favorite, he was the one she wanted to meet the most.

"Oh him?" Michael laughed. It was almost as if the three members were starring and smiling at me. But it was probably my imagination.

"He ran past us and told us he was getting sick," Michael said with a small nod.

"Oh. That didn't seem too good," Amelia said, pursing her lips, "Makes sense why he ran past me super fast."

"Then how are you going to do the concert?" Elizabeth asked while furrowing her brows.

"Yeah. Like he's the bass and sings." Brandi joined in.

"Well. Luckily we have a solution," Ashton said, "Or at least we hope we do."

"Which one of you guys knows how to play the bass?" Michael asked with a smirk across his lips.

I raised my hand up in the air, followed by Elizabeth, Ivan, and Brandi. Amelia was so out on this one.

"And who knows how to play songs... by memory?" Ashton said looking between the four of us.

I continued to keep my hand up but both Elizabeth and Brandi's hand went down.

"And who can sing and play at the same time?" Luke asked taking a few quick peaks at me.

My hand stayed up and I could see Ivan's hand go down in the corner of my eyes.

"There we have it!" Ashton yelled, jumping up and high-fiving me. I was beyond confused.

"Looks like we have our bassist and our singer for tonight," Luke said with a huge grin on his face.

"Of course you'll be paid," Michael said with a short nod.

"What? Me? I don't--" I started to say but was, again, cut off.

"She doesn't even know any of your songs!" Amelia blurted out, shooting me a glare.

I didn't volunteer to be put in this position and Amelia needed to figure that out and fast.

"That's why we asked if you know how to play songs by heart and sing them too," Ashton said as he pulled me up so I was standing.

"What I--" Again. Cut off.

"Boys, you have five minutes until the show. Everyone else I'll show you to your seats." Said the same burly man who was standing outside.

Everyone else stood up and began walking out of the room, and the man's eyes turned to glare at me.

"You too miss."

"Oh no! She's with the band tonight. Substituting for Calum," Luke said to the burly man with a wink.

The body-guard, bouncer, whatever, guy left closing the door behind him.

"Pick whatever bass you want, love," Michael said motioning to the wall of basses.

My eyes instantly went to the blue and black one I saw earlier.

What had I gotten myself into?
