The band and I made it back to the tour bus, after putting away all the equipment. I threw my camera bag onto my bunk and joined everyone by the soft leather couches in the main area. We would be staying here tonight, and driving early in the morning to get to the next city.

Gajeel was in a particularly good mood, and invited some of the guys from the opening band plus a few of their merch people to hang out with us on the bus.

"Hey you guys, glad you could make it." Gajeel welcomed as they piled in, about 6 people in total. All the guys greeted each other, placing some bottles and plastic cups on the counter. From what I could gather, their lead singer was named Sting, there was a guy named Rouge, the girl that was with them was named Yukino and there were a few other people I couldn't figure out the names of.

"Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm the new photographer." I introduced myself since I was the only person they didn't know.

"Hey welcome aboard to the tour!" Sting exclaimed. "Here have a drink, we need to celebrate another successful show!" Yukino poured everyone drinks, and handed one to me. I didn't usually drink much, but I thought I might as well since pretty much everyone was participating.

"Thanks." I smiled at the platinum haired girl and took a sip of the drink.

Everyone sat around the couches and talked loudly while they drank, even Natsu was participating a little. I sat quietly, sipping my drink from the plastic cup.

About an hour later, and a couple drinks in, I felt my phone continuously vibrate. I looked down to see I had a call, and instinctively stood up to go take it outside. As I stood up, I stumbled a bit and the area around me spun, the drinks were starting to hit me.

"Lucy, you okay?" Gray asked as I walked towards the door.

"Y-yeah I'm fine, I'll be back in a few minutes." I stepped outside and walked down the metal steps. Without looking at the caller, I slid my finger across my phone to answer.

"Hello?"

"L-Lucy hello?"

Fuck. It was my dad.

"Dad?"

"Lucy Heartfilia...you...you harlot!" He was slurring his words. I was tipsy and even I could tell he was drunk. Again.

"What are you talking about...?" I asked, confused.

"Your mother...your mother was the same before she met me! Y-you're probably sleeping around...w-with boys! I'm...I'm going to hire a private investigator...to find you!"

"D-don't talk about mom like that! You're drunk, get off the phone." I shouted at him.

"Don't tell me what to do...missy! You're the worst excuse for a daughter I've ever seen! P-pathetic..." If he said these things to me in person, I'd just act like I didn't care and cry later. But over the phone, I couldn't stop my built up tears from flowing. "I shouldn't have even helped bring you into this world, you don't deserve the Heartfilia name, you're a waste of-" Before he could finish I hit the 'end call' button and slowly knelt in the grass, sobbing. I usually would act like those words couldn't hurt me, but I couldn't hold it in anymore. I pulled my knees close to my face and tears rolled down my face, quietly. I wanted the world to stop spinning, and I wished that Levy was here. I had never felt so alone.

Some time later, I heard the tour bus door creak open and the sound of footsteps walking towards me. I barely cared to look up, but I could see it was Natsu.

"What happened...?" He asked.

"I don't think you'd care." I whispered, mascara rolling down my face.
