Falling for your best friend

You had a pit in your stomach. This was it. This was the last day you would have in America for a long time. You and your family were moving to London for your Dad's work. England will be such a big change from you current home, Myrtle Beach. Your parents were about to make you leave everything you've ever known. But the worst part is it you had to leave your best friend Isabelle. You and Isabelle have been friends since as long as you remember. You thought about all of the memories when your mom ruined the moment by saying "Bri, it's time to go!" As you took one last look around your empty room, you started to tear up. You quickly wiped the tears away as you grabbed your bag for the car and left your room forever.

Now was the worst part. Going to Isabelle's house and saying goodbye. The short and familiar car ride was very dreadful. When you finally got there, you asked your parents if you could say goodbye alone. They said okay, so you went to the front door. You took a deep breath, and knocked. When Isabelle opened the door, you both bursted into tears. You hugged, and just stayed there for a minute, enjoying it.

As you pulled away, Isabelle sniffled and said "Promise to FaceTime a lot and catch me up on everything?" "Promise." You said, your voice overcome with sadness. You talked for a few more minutes, hugged one last time, and finally you let go. "I'll miss you so much." You said. "I'll miss you too, but I'll come and visit as soon as I can." She said with a weary smile. You started to walk back to the car, still sobbing. As you got in, your parents tried to comfort you. You knew this would be a very hard journey, but hopefully it would be worth  it in the end. And boy, were you right.

Sorry this is so short! The first few chapters will be kind of short just cause I'm so busy. I will try to make the chapters longer though as the story progresses. I hope you are enjoying the book so far!
