moving. saying goodbye to friends. school. ice skating for a while.

why did my parents make me move across the country to the city ?

simply because my dad has a new, better paying job here in Seoul, which my parents claim is " better for me ".

i sigh as we pull up outside our new house with brightly painted walls.

throwing my backpack over my shoulder, i opened the front door to our brand new house.

" sunghoon honey, go get some rest first, me and your father have some things to discuss " my mom called out.

i just muttered a short reply and climbed up the stairs that led to my room.

the walls were freshly painted with the same pastel yellow as the outside of the house.

i dropped my bag down on the floor and opened the window next to my bed.

i stuck my head outside.

the wind blew lightly at my face, my hair blowing briskly in the wind. it was actually quite a beautiful spring morning. new flowers bloomed on the trees.

a slight smile formed on my face.

i took a slight glance at the neighborhood around me.

many students could be seen walking on the streets.

school must have just ended.

i saw a boy around my age, with chestnut brown hair, walk into the house right next to me.

there was a window in his bedroom im assuming, that was right across mine.

it was actually really close to mine. about an arms length away.

i watched quietly as he flopped down on his bed, looking exhausted.

then, i had a plan.

i took out the sketch book and marker i had put in my bag.

i wrote on the book.

i hope he doesn't think im weird.

i hesitated, before knocking on the window.

the boy jumped up in shock.

he looked around before resting his eyes on the sketchbook i was holding up.

he cocked his head to the side before grinning from ear to ear revealing his bright teeth.

then, he ran off.

oh god i just scared off my new neighbour. park sunghoon you just moved in why did you do that. you and your stupid taylor swift obsession.

i was about to close up the window and go back to sulking over my sad life when i heard a knock on the window opposite mine.

i turn around to find, on neat handwriting :

hey ! im jake sim ! ntmy cutie ;)

that was smooth.

i couldnt help but feel my heart beating faster and faster against my ribcage as i watch him brush his fingers through beautiful locks, poking at his cheekies when he's thinking...

i was snapped back to reality when i heard another knock on the jake's window :

i know im cute but you didnt your parents tell you it was rude to stare hoonie ?

my face flushed a deep crimson.

fuck i shouldnt have stared.

also... hoonie ? cute.

i hid my face into the paws of my sweater, embarrassed.

i heard the sound of a window opening and a alot of rustling.

i looked up.

" hi " jake said with an innocent smile.

" you know you couldve just walked through the front door right. we live right next to each other. and like we just met like 10 minutes ago why are you suddenly in my house. also you didnt need to climb through my window it's dangerous you know like i know it's not very far but like if you fall you might break your arm, or a leg, or get a concussion and that'll not be fun because you'll be like in a coma and it can last for like years and when you wake up you might be like 60. im not paying for your medical fees thank you very much- " i was cut off when i felt a pair of soft lips against mine. that caught me off guard.

my eyes widened in shock at my neighbour i had just met. sweat damped his hair slightly, making him look 10 times more attractive than he already does.

" you were rambling " he said with a smirk, playing with a few loose strands of my hair, his other hand snaking around my waist, pulling me closer to his body.

jake sim, what are you doing to me ?
