Laura's POV: ~flashback when she was 7~
I was in the park, my mom sitting on the bench talking to other moms. I was beneath a tree so the sun wouldn't hit me. I was writing into my diary, oh how I love my diary
"Hey Laura" Ross said
"Hey Ross" I say waving at him as he approached me
I quickly put it down
"What are you doing?" He said referring to my book
"Just writing my fun moments in my diary"
"That seems so cool! Maybe we should get a diary.. Together and write all our fun moments inside"
"That sounds like a great idea, I think I have an extra diary in my house. Wanna come and write inside?"
"Sure, let me just ask my mom"
For sure his mom would say yes! We are best friends and plus his mom loves my mom

"THAT ISN'T FAIR" Ross screamed
"What! I won FAIR IN SQUARE" I tell him
We both had played a game of snakes and ladders when we came to my house. Although he said I cheated, which is not true!
"Ugh whatever.. Let's go see your extra diary now" he tells me
We went inside my closet and inside that mess we found one
"Here it is" I say
"Great"
Ross picked up one of my sharpies and wrote on the front cover "Ross and Laura's diary of memories"
"Let's start writing" I say
~End of flashback~
Oh how I remember those good old times. How I love them so much! My thoughts were interrupted by my best friend/boyfriend Ross
"LAURA" he says loudly while shaking me
"Yeah" I say as if nothing happened
He chuckled
"What were you thinking about?" He asks
"Just about our good old moments" I say smiling
"Like what?"
"Like our old diary, remember that?"
"You mean this" he said then pulled out the diary out of his jacket pocket which was on his chair
"Oh my god, Ross! Where did you find that?!" I asked
"I always carry it around with me"
"Why?" I ask playfully
"Because it reminds me of you, it reminds me of our good moments"
I smiled and kissed his cheek
"Can I see it?" I ask
"Of course"
He gave me the diary and I opened the first page. The start, gosh I haven't seen this in years..
The first page said
"Dear diary,
This is me and Laura's diary. We'll be writing all our fun memories inside. Like today, she cheated at the game snakes and ladders. Ugh.. but I forgive her since she's my best friend.
I love her and I hope we can be friends forever"
I smiled and starting tearing up knowing we've grew up so fast.. I continued turning the pages. On the before last page I saw a new note. It said:
"Dear Diary,
I'm sorry I haven't writing in you in forever. I always carry you around though. You bring me so many memories of me and Laura's past. I love her so much, she's my girlfriend. It seems like yesterday that I was blaming her on cheating on silly games when the truth was I just really sucked.. I really wish our futures will be bright"
I looked at Ross and he smiled
"When did you write this?" I ask
"A few weeks ago"
"Well let's add something"
I took a pencil and started writing down
"Dear Diary,
It's me, Laura! It was usually Ross who wrote in this but I still enjoy it. He's an amazing boyfriend but it's probably because he was my awesome best friend and still is. Seems like yesterday that he was flirting with me when we were 15. I really love him, I can see my future with him. I remembered saying this when I was younger but now I'm certain. I really wish to keep this diary in our hearts forever. But knowing Ross and I that is going to happen."
Ross read what I wrote and held my hand tightly
"That was very sweet" he said
"Now we have a perfect ending to our book" I say
"And we have a perfect ending to our day now" he said
We both looked in each other's eyes and started leaning in. We connected our lips and the shivers went throughout my body. Even though we do this millions of times again, I still get butterflies every time. We then pulled away
"Yup, a perfect ending" I say
