Kara's POV
There was a knock on the door the next day. I got up to answer it, wondering who it could be. There was a guy in a moving company outfit, holding out a clipboard to me.
"Ms. Johnson, right?" he asked me.
"Yeah," I replied. "I'm not moving..."
"I know. But a customer said he's moving here tonight. Alright, guys," he motioned to his fellow workers, "time to start."
Without even waiting for me to consent, the men started entering my seven storey house with all sorts of furniture. They went to all the storeys but one, and renovated them. Occasionally, they would stop for snack breaks.
"Ms. Johnson," a guy I'd identified as Larry said. "How do you live here alone?"
"I just do. My mom bought it for me."
"Nice." He whistled and went back to work.
The floor at the very top belonged to me. Heights calmed me.
The sixth floor became all orange: the walls, the doors, everything. There were also various pictures of carrots...
The fifth floor had so many hair products and hair products. I made a mental note to try and never go there.
The fourth floor was brown, green and spacious. I liked it already.
The third floor was very green. And I mean, VERY green. There were so many four leaved clovers, it almost seemed Irish.
The second floor, right above the main floor, reminded me a bit of Li. There were signs that read: "NO SPOONS!" When we were in elementary, Li hated spooms...
The men finally finished renovating my house and left. I threw myself on the couch in bewilderment. Just as I was about to take a nap, the doorbell rang. Again. I grunted as I went to open it. About 20 to 50 people filed inside my house, placing security alarms here and there, disposing of all my spoons and forks and bringing various clothing items to the rooms upstairs.
Around seven pm, they had finished doing whatever to my house, including bringing huge bags of Nando's and placing them on the dining table. They left, and I jumped on the couch, ready for my well-deserved nap for doing nothing.
The doorbell rang again. I muttered some very colourful words under my breath. I opened the door and saw Liam standing there, arms wide open and a huge smile, with the rest of One Direction behind him...
