Ayanami, Atago, Takao and Akagi accompanied Shikikan as part of a small scouting force to check up on the Eagle Union and their suspiciously large fleet. They quickly take to the waters as soon as Shikikan hops into a light cruiser and they stick close together.
"Do you thin they could possibly be discussing about the bomb that we saw earlier?" Shikikan asks.
"That thing was out for everyone to see before, I wouldn't be surprised if the royals knew about it." Akagi replies. "Wait... Just over there..."
"I see it now..." Shikikan says as everyone slows their paces by a good few knots and he brings out binoculars to look from afar.
"Anything out of the ordinary?" Akagi asks. "There's no reason for them to have so large of a group..."
"It almost seems as if they're huddled around something, attempting to hide an object..." Shikikan replies. "Atago, you've got better eyes than me, think you can pick out what's in there?"
"Sure thing." Atago says as Shikikan hands her the binoculars and takes a look for herself. "It almost seems like they're crowded around some sort of carrier... But what could possibly be on there for them to cover it up so much- wait... I see something else... Shit!"
"What is it?" Shikikan asks.
"I think they noticed us. Some of the girls are charging!" Atago replies as she hands the binoculars back to Shikikan and readies her cannons as Takao does the same. From the large escort fleet San Diego and Bremerton are among many other familiar faces as they charge forth, intending to destroy the Sakura Empire scouts!
"You thought you could get away with it huh?" San Diego asks in her trademark sing-song voice. "Well I, San Diego, cannot let you do that!"
"Fucking hell..." Shikikan grumbles. "All cannons open fire!"
"Time to get serious!" Akagi says as she tosses her paper effigies and they transform into planes, ready for combat.
"I never thought we'd have to still deal with you!" Bremerton shouts as she fires a salvo, intending to obliterate the light cruiser Shikikan is on, but Takao moves quickly, slashing the oncoming shells in half with her blade and detonating them. "Nevada! Oklahoma!"
"Roger that! Covering fire!" The two battleships shout as they take a knee and bunker down as they begin firing their cannons, raining shells down on Shikikan and company while the escort fleet continues on their merry way.
"Looks like they improved their anti air... My planes can't bust through..." Akagi grumbles as she watches San Diego mow down her planes, all with a big goofy smile on her face.
"She's distracted though." Shikikan says. "Time to give her what's coming." He chuckles as his cruiser's cannons are aimed at the bubbly redhead. One good salvo sends San Diego flying and somersaulting to the ground, giving Akagi enough time to pester the eagle battleships.
"Shit! They're coming down on us!" Nevada shouts as she and her sister attempt to gun down the planes charging towards them, but it's futile and the planes kamikaze on them.
"Ouch..." Oklahoma mumbles as the last plane explodes on her and she collapses, as does Nevada.
"No!" San Diego shouts as she gets back up and tends to the two battleships.
"We'll be fine... At least we haven't sunk..." Nevada says through gritted teeth. "We'll just need someone to tow us back... Owie..." San Diego then turns to Akagi, baring her teeth and looking ready to murder the carrier right then and there.
"I don't think so." Ayanami says as she brings out her sword and charges forth. "You're not touching my friends!"
"Then I'll kill you first!" San Diego snarls as she begins supplementing her main cannons with her AA guns, firing them all at once at Ayanami, but the destroyer is quicker and more nimble, gracefully leaping above the mass of shells before coming down on San Diego with a mighty slash! "OUCH!"
"That got you!" Ayanami shouts as she continues slashing away at San Diego, but somewhere off in the distance a faint "Owari da!" can be heard.
"Huh? Who said that?" Shikikan asks, but his question is answered when a certain gray haired carrier can be seen charging forth, planes already on the move.
"Shit! It's the grey ghost!" Akagi shouts as her zeroes get gunned down by a swarm of hellcats.
"What the?! Enterprise?!" Atago yells. "I didn't expect HER to be part of the escort fleet!"
"This ain't good!" Shikikan shouts as a group of dive bombers obliterate the light cruiser he's on, sending him flying!
"I got you!" Akagi shouts as she catches Shikikan and the grey ghost pulls back her attack, simply pointing her bow at the scouts, arrow drawn back and ready to kill whoever is the first to step forward.
"Fall back everyone! I repeat fall back!" Shikikan calls out as the scouts retreat, lest Enterprise annihilate them.
