You were filled with the smell of pancakes coming from downstairs. You sleeplessly got out of bed and stumble down the stairs.

"Be careful there Melissa," you heard the familiar voice of your boyfriend Hayes tell you.

Today was your one year anniversary.

I never thought I'd see Hayes cooking, you wondered. You chuckled to yourself slightly before you walked over to him and passionately kissed his lips and whispered, "Happy anniversary babe."

"You know I woke up this morning and I saw a beautiful young lady sleeping soundly beside me and I realized this girl is mine. And she's been mine for a year now, and she will forever be mine," he said proudly.

"That's funny because when I woke up my man wasn't there. I was thinking about how much of a butthead he was for leaving me," you said giggling.

"Haha."

"But I love him, I wonder who he is? And how this girl you spoke about is?" You asked sarcastically.

"I don't know? Maybe the girl standing right in front of me is the girl?"

"I think the guy in front of me is the man I was talking about."

Hayes met your lips gently, but so hungrily.

"Yup it's him." You said smiling.

His hands wrapped around you and he whispered, "I love you."

"I love you too."
