She became a phoenix

Once upon a time a girl said "fuck this shit" and she lived happily ever after.

That girl is me. I spilt out my emotions, my feelings, my thoughts, I cried it all out and decided to come back stronger.

You see sometimes we have to be like a phoenix, every time we turn to ash, we rise up.

I am no longer that weak naive girl who followed the crowd. I am now the one who leads the crowd. I am no longer that weak naive girl who didn't have a voice of her own. I am now a girl who has a voice and speaks for others who can't. I am no longer that weak naive girl who hated herself. I am now the girl who had to lose someone in order to love herself.

You may be wondering who I am....well I am Gauri Kumari Sharma.

No no not Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi.

I am now known by my maiden name, not by my husband's name. I wanted to carve out my own identity and I didn't want to be known as an Oberoi.

Her POV ends

Gauri was busy cutting banana, spreading what looked like peanut butter on two pieces of toast.

Gauri: yeah. Okay I will check the presentation and give you feedback. Yeah, okay bye.

She cut the phone and kept the small banana circles on top of the two toast pieces then kept them on two separate plates. After doing so, she got two small baby pink cups, one with butterflies and the other with hearts. After pouring milk in them, she heard a child voice: mummy.

Gauri turned to see her eldest twin daughter, Diya who was still in her pyjamas and her hair was a little messy since she had just woken up. Gauri went up to her, bending down to her height and kissed her cheek.

Gauri: good morning baba.

Diya: morning.

Gauri: where is Inaya?

Diya: Inaya just woke up too. She coming, she just trying to find her bunny slippers.

Gauri was about to say something when another little girl came and hugged her.

Gauri: good morning Inaya.

Inaya: morning.

Diya: yay you found your slippers.

Inaya: they were under your bed.

Gauri looked at Diya who was smiling innocently. Of course Diya decided to hide her sister's slippers. These little girls were always hiding each other's things. Gauri made the girls go upstairs to the bathroom and said: bath now or after school?

Diya: we had a bath yesterday evening so after school but mummy, I don't want to go to school.

Gauri: kyu?

She said this as she kept the kids' toothpaste on the girls' toothbrushes. She gave the toothbrushes to the girls as Diya said: Miss Chocolate stupid. She always pick on me. Never ask anyone else. Just me.

Inaya wetted her toothpaste and before brushing her teeth, she said: you talk too much that why.

Gauri: and your teacher's name is not Miss Chocolate, it's Miss Chaturvedi.

Diya: Chaturvedi?! I can't say that.

Gauri: you just did.

Diya rolled her eyes as she started brushing her teeth. After the girls brushed their teeth and washed their face, they went to change into their school uniforms with Gauri helping to do their ties and brushing their soft silky hairs, putting them into plaits.
